I just watched Captain America and I think this is the best Marvel movie so far.
What makes this great is that the hero started as an helpless unknown boy who is physically weak but that did not deter him to do what is right all the time. He tries to enlist in the Army to help fight in WW2 but he was turned down because he is frail. He got beat up all the time by bullies, and then in the movie theater he confronted a much bigger bully when no one else dared, not even the adults.
I believe he is the only superhero who got his power not because they were rich or child of Gods or accidentally - but he worked hard for it.
And then also the ending is quite sad as he chooses to sacrifice himself and his love to the only girl he knew to save New York City from destruction...and then surviving only to wake up 70 years later on the same city, but everything he know is either gone or aged.

I just watched it like a few hours ago ( because of avenger actually, I know, I'm a sad case...) and totally fell in love with this movie. First, Chris Evans is hot, I'm sure everyone would agree with me on that one. Secondly, he's a good man at heart. From the start, he would sacrifice himself for his teammates. Like the time he huddled the grenade instead of running away... That was like a moment for me... He's like sooo manly even though he was physically weak. Thirdly, there were a few humorous parts...and fourth, it's nice to see Howard stark in action. XD

I've been looking forward to watching this movie ever since I saw the trailer. I'll be watching it tomorrow with a good friend of mine. I've never read any comics about it before so I dont have much background but it looks interesting and the way they transformed Chris Evans to a frail-looking guy without using a double was amazing!

I do not agree with you. The Super Hero was started from nothing (a disbale child), but then the child is in the form of being a hero by a team with specific purpose. I giess it is not a good groove as an lesson for our child. Because the heroes should not be formed by a team, but it presented itself as a situation. Therefore i prefer The X-Men instead Captain America!

hi greenpeas.
haven't watched captain america yet but i'm planning to do so with my four-year old daugther in tow. you've watched the movie so do you think it is appropriate for a child her age? we had watched 'transformers: dark side of the moon' before and we weren't bothered by the fight scenes there and i was wondering if it is the same case here.
woudl love to hear your thoughts about this one greenpeas.
thanks a lot!
