Education is a very important factor and if you don't have this at least try to read some quality books & make it your passion.

I fully agree with you that we cannot ignore the importance of education. Those who are not educated cannot just survive in this mad mad world. Education not only makes a person wiser but it gives a kind of self confidence to him/her to fight the realities of life.

There's a saying "little knowledge is a very dangerous thing". Once the unschooled learned a little they tend to be arrogant and refused to accept their mistakes. In workplace, they think their colleagues are stupid; nobody is right.

Learning and using what I learn is my favourite part of life, basically. I enjoy it because learning something new and retaining it boosts my curiosity, my confidence, and I truly think it gives more sense to living. I think my interest in philosophy may peep through in this post, but here goes - I think the entire process of life can only be coloured, enriched, and bettered by learning, and never wanting to cease to learn. The desire to learn is what keeps me interested and answers a lot of my metaphysical questions on existence (ie, why are we here, us humans, living on this planet? - perhaps the point of life is just to live, learn, and think as we do other things in between to be part of our societies). Education is important indeed, but for a lot of people, learning to keep your mind excited about life doesn't have to mean sitting down and reading tons of textbooks, either. I believe we need to keep learning things in all spectrums of life, and to experience as many different things as possible to fully compensate a well-lived life.

Well said invisiblepourlesyeux. I have known parents who discouraged their children to enroll in a higher education (university, MBA, PhD) and despite of that the children were able to earned a degree in MBA without the parents help! Learning becomes their food with hardship in between thus gaining knowledge in all perspective. Education has helped them achieved what their parents failed to accomplished during their time.
