Have you ever just rambled on during a response.

By that I mean, you just tended to type and type in my responding to a topic but then I find out that I have several decent sized paragraphs. Or one really big paragraph that I have to go and break down into several decent sized paragraphs, perhaps cleaning it up before I post. There are types where a topic is so engaging that I just have to write a lot about it, even if I did not plan to. It just happens. I'm sure I'm not the only one this has happened to, where before you know it, you have a miniature essay before a response. It just goes to show you when you get writing and gain momentum, you're not finished until you've felt like you've said what you needed to say.

Oh yes megamatt! I am a total chatter box and can ramble away and since my fingers and brain are synced at the same speed I find I type a novel sometimes. lol Especially if I am comfortable interacting with certain members.
I am a very detail oriented person so I always have a lot to say offline also. lol Yes I do find that while typing somehow I find that whoa I have typed so much without realizing it as stated above my thoughts are not well thought out as I am a very fast thinker.

I know what you mean about being a rather fast thinker. There are a lot of times where there tend to be a number of thoughts in my head. Whether it is verbally or online, there can be times where things really do get a bit muddle to say the very least. I think that I just really just step back and look at what I wrote. Sometimes there is just that one discussion that hits that one sweet spot in a discussion and the words just pour. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

I suspected that many of us were in fact guilty of that from time to time. Of course that is a good thing. There are just a lot of times where I think that a topic is going to inspire us to go beyond everything that we would most normally. Of course it just adds to the topic in some ways, even though I just wonder how many people would have the attention span to read our novel of a response. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

Yes i had the same experience especially when i am engrossed in the topic and i just let my fingers do the talking. They're really fast so sometimes it's too difficult to make them stop!
My fingers don't seem to understand the word "halt."

Sometimes, I tend to do this since I usually ramble on like when I am speaking. Try as I might and as writer, I try to curb words as possible. Sometimes, I succeed, sometimes I didn't. My mind seems to on high when I'm responding to discussions and I often post responses thinking that I'm not only giving relevant response but also other relative information as well. I try to exact patience form the other responders and sometimes the discussion starter because of my too overactive mind. I'm not sure they appreciate my style of responding but I do hope that somehow in between the words, the message comes across.

Yeah I have various degrees of success with trying to limit what I say. There are times where I have to take a step back and really think a bit more closer about what I am saying. Then again, there are a lot of times where a lot might need to be said, because it is a rather engaging topic. There is really no shame in that to say the very least. Hopefully the message comes across, that is all what we hope for. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

That's when you get the writer's mode. You cant stop and the ideas just keep going, without you noticing it... Its been a while since I got that mode. I guess I haven't found yet the right discussion that can tickle that writer in me... I love writing too and when I write about something I love or something that interest me, or something that make me think. I just write and the ideas come like a river...

Writer's mode, that is really a perfect way to describe it a lot of the time. The discussions do come along not every day, but often enough for me to notice that there are a number of times where I just tend to go off. Of course, there are times where I have to make my ramblings make a bit more sense, but at least it has struck a cord and that is great. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.

That really is about giving your honest opinion that much is for certain. And sometimes, an honest opinion does take a little bit of time to fire out there for sure. There are a lot of times where the length really can be dependent about how much the topic has stirred up within my mind. A really good topic can cause me to get rolling. Thanks for responding. Its appreciated. Have a nice day.
