I just can't respond to long discussions nowadays. I find myself getting lazy to read it so i just don't comment. I don't want to respond to a discussion without reading it at all because i don't want to sound stupid in making responses. So for the past few days i've been skipping those long discussions and i feel sorry for my friends.
I usually read discussions as long as they interest me no matter how long they are, but just lately i can't seem to get myself to read those lengthy discussions.
I am hoping that this is just another phase in my mylot life and i'd be able to go back to my old mylotting lifestyle.

hi toni.
don't sweat about not being able to read through long discussions her in mylot and not being able to respond properly. it happens to the best of us. i think it is just a phase. one mylotter gave it a very unique and fitting name, mylot burn out syndrome, MBOS!!!
lol!!!
you'll eventually get over it and you'd start looking for all those long discussions and replying will be as normal as breathing.
cheers!!!

Could be. The moment I see those lengthy discussions I'm just turned off instantly. I don't even bother reading the first sentence at all.

For me I don't mind to read and reply to those. Yeah, I admit that sometimes we feel lazy to read the lengthy post and whenever I feel the laziness, I will skip the discussion and will get back to it later. They are friends who really love to write long and it depends on my moods to read it or not.(^^)

You are right very lengthy discussions can put us off and could test our level of patience. I also feel that too long narration like a story make no sense. Time is the essence and mylotters should understand this point. I try my best not to post a too long or too short thread.

Oh I should also add too short ones. This that doesn't make sense always turns me off and those that only asks questions. Thanks.

that is a complete disgrace!! *stomps feet* lol!
i've had really long and insightful discussions lately, you know because i'm practically a genius and all! and you haven't even been reading them? i am shocked and appalled!! lol.. only jokinggggg!
i go through wee phases like that too, where people wirte long discussions about something, and especially when they don't paragraph them. i'm guilty of it too like, but sometimes when things are really long with no spacing or paragraphs i skip and move onto something smaller. we are all guilty of it, so don't stress your pretty wee head :)

Guilty as can be! Lol!
If you notice I replied only to a few of yours lately. Not because they're not interesting but like I said I didn't even get to read the first sentence. Usually I have patience but nowadays I just feel lazy. So it's not your fault but it's mine!
I'm sure I will be able to spring back to my old self again. So for the meantime, you won't be seeing me in yours often. @AgentGulaman (3546)

Good for you that only lately you do skip long discussions. As for me, I almost always skip reading those long discussions especially when I got limited time in myLot. So sorry to all those long discussion makers out there as I can't get to respond to them. But if the topic is very interesting, like Professor Bhuwan's discussion, I am keen on reading them all out. Sometimes I even copy the contents and paste it on a word file so that I can exit myLot and just read it when I am on the go!
Well, sometimes we really can't help but just pay attention to short discussions if we can't make a shortcut on the long discussions.

Oh Toni, in that case, i am lucky because you responded to my posts.
Actually, i know that mylotters don't like to read lengthy discussions, because i am one of them .
So, as much as possible i make my discussions brief. Though, there are some that are lengthy, because i just wanna rant about my displeasures.

Nope I'm not lazy to respond and start a discussion nowadays. I just avoid those long ones coz they are not appealing to me these days.

I guess those days really come. I am only new and I find myself skipping long posts too. I know its a bad habit but I am also trying to get over it. I hope I will do better after a few days. With regards to you. I know you will be back in no time. Maybe you have other tasks now and sometimes you need a break too. Yourself is only telling you to be a little easy... Soon you will be back.

No I don't have other tasks at all. I just find those very long ones too boring and a total turn off. and I didn't even read the first sentence at all!
