Twitter is popular and one of the leading networking site probably because everything we want to say, impart, express are allowed there. We are allowed to follow our favorite movie stars, political leader and famous endorsers. And not only that we can send tweets to them or join in any conversation that is trending. Tweet is like a message. You're tweeting, you're sending a message. I hope this helps!

I think "tweet" means letting everyone know what you're doing. I think it was taken from the tweeting of the bird, I'm not sure. Because whenever a bird is tweeting, a lot of people can hear it.

I don't really know how this Twitter functions. I have been a member of that site for quite a while but am still blind.

It is also like a daily, frequent status updates online, on the web to your friends. It can also be like a "shout-out" to people who follow you. It is very easy and very fast to spread news, words, your emotions through twitter. The right word is "tweet" not "tweat". This is a metaphor to birds chirping. So to tweet, means to share short messages on twitter. Just like birds chirping away. You can now share photos and videos through tweets! It is like sending messages to your friends. But in the sense of twitter, it is like sending messages to people who follow you. It is number one, because it spreads very fast to people who follows you. The trick is to keep your messages short and sweet so that it spread... To me, it is a news outlet i share with my friends, or also known as followers.
