Last night I told my husband that if I ever become rich in some way or if I win the lottery that I'd like to live simple. I don't like living in a mansion or have a nice car or nice clothes. If I ever become rich I'd love to help other people in third war countries that dont have what we take for granted. It makes me sooo so sad and helpless to know I can't help. Take an actor for example, she's an important person and helps other people living in poverty and I think I understand why she's doing what she's doing. I can't say her name for security purposes but she is helping the way I want to help. I told him of my plans to bring food and water and medicine and clothes to these people that CAN'T do that themselves. I know what it's like to go to bed hungry and I know what it's like to give your little brother and sister your plate because there wasn't any left. I was that little girls who when to school with soiled clothes because we all had to share a bed(all 7 of us)Thru my experiences in life, I can make certain things better for people but there are steps that need to be taken but until then Im stuck! Maybe I should go on strike or something to make 'the big men' see how messed up things are in our own country. I know what I could do! In the US we have assistance for food and everything, right? What if I set up that same kind of assistance except for other countries? Its just a thought...for when i get like half a million dollars

my husband and i have had similar conversations. We would probably move to a new house, just because ours is getting older and starting to have some problems, but we would not neccessaily move into something bigger. The one thing I would do however, or not do as the case would be, is wash socks ever again. I would just throw them away, or throw a huge box of them in the wash and then give them to a charity. I hate matching socks. it is the bane of my existance.

laundry never ends, especially when you have a toddler. Currently she seems to be in a diva stage and every time we change activities she changes outfits. luckily her clothes are small and do not take up much space in the wash.

ha! Lucky u!! i secretly envy u! haha! im not so lucky, I have a hubby who has clothes from his collage days and he refuses to get rid of them and he always finds different excuses each time and I feel like getting rid of them without telling him. And Ive got 4 bags of clothes to give away but more seems to keep piling and im about to loose my mind! It makes me wunder...what happened to the man that used to do his own laundry? beats me.

REALLY!?! u and me both- I dont know what I dislike more? Folding laundry or cleaning. But i really dont have a choice. So u know what I told my hubby. I was like if i cook, u clean or visa versa u know, because we're a team we as a couple have to do things together...anyway he aggreed. Y is it then that im still cooking and cleaning and doing laundry and puting them away?!? I asked him about it and he got all mad and stormed the house. What did i do wrong? I swear I buy socks, only to loose them. I do hate matching socks too! My husband likes the tall black socks and i like the white no show socks...so at the end of the month what i do is fill a drower with clean socks and dont match them up till i wahed everything. that way I know what to ditch and what to keep! Now the clothes....oh man! dont get me started!!

That is perfectly fine if you don't want to live in a mansion or drive a nice car if you win a lottery. Life can still be fullfilling without all these material things and as simple as you prefer. With amount of money you win in a lottery, you are very much get set ready to do whatever you want to achieve without much problem ahead. You can give out your money to the homeless, feed the hungry children, get medicine for those who can't afford to pay for the care, etc... money is king as far as doing charitable cause is concerned, no one can tell what to do with your winning $$$.

If that is your winning money, you decide how you want it spend, your husband may not like you spend on helping these helpless souls but if you feel good about doing what you set up to do, then go ahead and do it, your husband may not have a kind and generous heart like you, just don't let him talk you out of your good deeds.

That is an excellent humanatarian spirit. Yes, there are thousands of people suffering from natural disasters in different parts of the world. It is so pitiful. I do make donations from time to time to international organizations helping needy people in different parts of the world. In fact, I just made a donation for the people in Africa suffering from the severe droughts.

thank u! I so agree with u on that part, its very sad to hear other countries going thru that tough, hard poverty-like state and I would love to give them my kids clothes (Im spring cleaning) but i dont know where to begin who to call but im gonna make some calls today and see how i go about donating clothes to children in Africa and Indonesia! And may GOD bless u for being so generouse in giving!

I am very much impressed by your mentality to help others and this every one should also think in this way. Only this attitude of helping others, especially the needy persons, can make this world a better place for living.

Well if you have gone through those time what you are stating here then its very brave to think that you will live a simple life after you become wealthy. But if you think so then you are a very nice person at heart. Dont worry good things happen to good people.
