I will be cooking barbecue for lunch tomorrow and I would love to make a wicked sauce made with Coke. This would definitely go great with the ribs. Any suggestions?

Sounds like it would be an interesting experiment. I think I would reduce the coke down, then add some tomato paste, a little garlic, black peppercorns and maybe a dash of liquid smoke and taste it from there and see where it goes.

Sounds great! Some mustard would work as well. The caramelization from the coke is just awesome. Works great on roast chicken as well. By the way, what's liquid smoke?

I'm not sure how it's made, but it is an additive you can buy that gives sauces and foods a "smokey" kinda taste.

We do make a sauce for bbqs, but we use pepsi and ketchup. Those are the only two ingredients.

We like it. We find many of the prepared sauces too strong for our taste. Oh, I forgot to tell ya we add just a pinch of salt.

A sauce with soda in it? This is definitely a new one for me. I personally would not attempt that but If that is where your heart is then good luck.
