Do You Or Have You Ever "People Watched"?

This is something I've recently started seeing or hearing about other people doing. Basically they go to parking lots or where ever and simply sit there watching people and I guess commenting on stuff or whatever. I'm not quite sure how people do it as I've only just first heard of people actually specifically setting out doing this. There's someone I subscribe to on Youtube who has done at least one video while doing just that. His username is Noyjeetut if you want to look him or the video up. Out of strange curiosity I was wondering. Has anyone here ever done something like this?

[b]Hello DarthJustice, I have always observed people every since I was a child, but I have not made it to be a plan to go to a parking lot to sit and watch them.

I guess I'm like that. Come to think of it, I suppose I have done just that but never really purposely or planned on doing that.

I watched people unintentionally. When i ride in a public vehicle and someone behaves not normally, I intend to watch his/her gestures. sometimes eye to eye. I dont know why? It just that, sometimes their behavior is kinda irritating

When I was working in a company and my husband goes to school, he would usually use my car to save gas and just pick me up at 5. Sometimes he would arrive late and I would wait on the lobby and watching people passing by. I just observe what they were doing but I never listened to their conversation at all. Long time ago when my husband and I were just dating and we got nothing to do, sometimes we would look at people in the mall and make up stories of what they're doing and what they're saying. It was fun because it's like watching a dubbed movie!

me and my best-friend do that before when we are bored, we sit on the park and just watch people that are talking and we will try to guess or caption them according to their actions, it's fun, really funny, but of course we don't let them noticed or know that we're doing that to them.

it can be quite interesting to just watch people out on the street, shopping, or whatever. there are loads of different types of people, and i find sometimes if i am sat in a cafe, or waiting for someone i quite like watching them. its just quite nice, sometimes you see someone waiting, and then the person they are waiting for turns up, and they look really pleased, and thats quite nice. maybe going to a parking lot to watch people could be a bit weird, but i live in a city and so i don't know who they are and they don't know who i am, so its harmless enough. maybe it is something we do more as we get older, as when we are young we are quite self conscious, and think everyone is watching us, whereas as we get older maybe we feel more invisible, and start doing the watching instead.

I do like to people watch but wouldn't go to a parking lot and sit in my car. Would be afraid someone would think I was a stalker or up to no good. The best place I've found to people watch is at the airport. It's interesting to watch passengers try to get from one part of the airport to another running with their luggage. Facial expressions usually tells it all.

When I am bored and waiting I might observe people but as to watch them? I guess it's some sort of psychological thing. I mean, something that people who study human nature would do. I may look that video up in a while.

When I have gone to sit in a cafeteria which had a direct view to the street I could see the peopel walking out on the same. I could pass a while doing this and I found entertained. There are cafeterias with tables and chairs just on the street and people are sitting talking and drinking and they can not avoid to watch the walking people.

i have heard of this too... i think they are critiquing people on what they are doing... i guess it is people that have nothing better to do with their lives.
