I think most of you know about this quote as the title of my discussion. Commonly I herd it from our actors and actresses and from others in our country. I just thinking how this quote relates in our life? Is it same as "looking forward", "move on" and others. In our life or your life did you used this and told to yourself "the show must go on". How can you define this quote to your life? Share to us...

hi there visavis! :) Truly, this is a famous quote that we often hear from actors/actresses, athletes, and even politicians. On a small scale point of view, this quote can be applied at school. We can hear a student say this when something went wrong while having a report on the class. On a larger scale, it can be heard on an actor/actress who forgot his/her line on a live performance or from a dancer who dropped his/her belongings while dancing. This is a quote of encouragement. This is usually said by a person caught in a middle of conflicts and has no other options but to go on just to survive that crisis. It is actually a helpful attitude that helps a person motivates himself/herself even when in times of troubles. Troubles can never be skipped in our real life. Therefore, we should learn how to cope up with it. And this quote can definitely help a person still succeed. We are all aware that change is the only constant thing in our world. So, we must develop certain attitudes that will make ourselves adaptive to changes. I usually experience sudden challenges in my life and this quote is one of my battle cry for it boosts up my confidence and helps me deliver my best even when faced by a tough competition. :)

Hmm..I think the downside of that attitude can be that you always rely on chances. You'll tend to lose your sense of being organized. Well, that's only a little thing compared to the positive effect the quote can bring up to you. :)

That is rather the case, isn't it? No matter what happens, no matter how it affects us, life does in fact go on and move forward in any number of ways. Whether or not we really are all that at ease with life really moving forward, it is true that it does. There are a lot of times where some rather horrific thing happens or maybe just a thing that throws us off balance that is only slightly a discomfort. Yet time does not wait for us to get our thoughts in order. Rather it keeps moving forward and we are going to be left out in the dust, so we really need to move forward with it. The show must go on indeed. Our misfortunes, our problems in life, are rather meaningless in the grand scheme of life. Therefore the show does in fact go on and we must really continue to move on, as if not to be left behind.

Hi! For me, it's like no matter what happen, what we are doing must continue. No matter what obstacle comes our way, we still should strive to finish what we have started and go on. Life has always been like an unpredictable theater show. We are the main character in our own show and what happens is the script. However, we are not fully aware of the script and it all depends on us. No matter what happens to our life, we should always still try to do our best and make it the greatest show ever! Thanks and happy mylotting!

Hi visavis, I feel that it is much the same as saying, life must go on. We all encounter things in life that set us back, that sometimes might make us want to just give up, but we must not give in to these thoughts because life goes on. For actors and actresses, the show must go on is based on the same idea. Blessings.

Hi visavis, "The Show must go on" relates to the situation where in some event crops up in once life which prompts him to abandon the important task he is handling at that moment but he bravely overcomes the situation and continue with the important task he is handling at that moment. I could give an example of a cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. His father expired during an ongoing cricket series. This was a critical situation which expected him to be near his father during his last rituals but considering the importance of his presence in the team he decided to forego the last rituals of his father and continued playing for his country. This will exactly explain the meaning of the phrase 'The show must go on' As about me I too experienced a similar situation when my father passed away when I was away with my brother undergoing an heart operation. I could not attend to the last rituals of my father because I had to say that the show must go on.

the happening that has set and hold in place in an appropriate period of time will not be broken even without the chair/lead/main person. in this case, most of the attendees say, the show must go on.

I usually utter this exact same phrase during my undergraduate years. This is especially true when we do plays and presentations during my high school days. Also during my college life, having some tense moments during technical presentations, the show must go on. But moving through the years, the phrase starts to be revised whenever I utter it. I now use the phrase: "Life must go on". Maybe this is due to the seriousness now of the chapter of life that the word show is eventually replaced by a heftier word of life. Yes, this phrase tells a lot about the character of the one uttering it which may be viewed as being persevering or resiliency in its most essential sense.

For me, what these means is that despite any difficulties or obstacles we may come across in life, we need to be strong, put on a strong face (ie. like the actors!) And continue with your life. Life goes on, and so should we!
