Has anyone ever assaulted you at work and nothing was done about it?

My boyfriend works in a warehouse. There's this guy that's been picking on him since day one. The HR lady says that apparently this guy and his friends "clique" up against newcomers. Yes you heard me right, it's a warehouse not HIGH SCHOOL. Anyway, this kid bumped my boyfriend with his shoulders and threatened him. He was suspended for one day. Well, this past week, the kid took it further. He choked my boyfriend, put his t shirt over his fac and put him in a chokehold under his arm. Really? I mean your at work. If he had tried that in the streets, my bf would hae handled it but at work. Nope. All he could do was punch the conveyor belt in frustration and break his OWN hand. :-( So, has this happened to anyone else before? And hae you done anything about it?

Not physically but verbally yes. Verbal assault sometimes hurts more than a physical assault and if one is very touchy or sensitive that can lead one to depression. It did that to me once but I got over it in course of time.

Verbal assault is horrible because it can literally ruin your whole day. My friend used to get rumors about her spread and mean things said and it got to the point where she couldn't even drive to work without getting physically sick from the stress and anticipation. I wish there was a better way to handle this.

not happened to me. Surely this is something very serious. Hopefully none of it does not happen. I do not know how I would react in such a situation, but certainly I would be afraid. Pleasant day!

That guy needs to be fired! The whole lot who has been abusing the newcomers need to be fired. Why weren't they fired before since it seems this isn't anything new? I hope it gets easier for your bf, but if not, maybe finding something different, a different job, would be better, better but definitely not easier.

Yeah I wish he could find a new job. Unfortunately, it's very hard these days. Anyway, some good news is our lawyer says we have a case againt his employer for any damages he sustained and also for some money.
