Moon so high looking far below Lighting the way for her lost love In the twlight glow Looking and searching with her heavenely spot light Sadness plays across her pale full face He left her one day for earth Wanting to adore her with wild roses Never to return he lost his way Now she has lost her until he returns Once in a while the faint scent of wild roses plays across her mind Memories of him her brightest star still shines in her eyes Falling to earth he left her behind The most beautiful shooting star she had ever seen All these thoughts haunt her dreams She rises every night in search of him when the sun sleeps Trying to guid her lost love back into twlight heaven by her side Moon beams and flashing lights Millions of nights have passed as ahe ages Love missing as she sighs Still she waits if it takes eternity Still she waits while he picks his roses and stumbles across earth...

It seems like a very nice poem and sorta reminds me of this kids book I read awhile back that involed some Eskimo girl or something and the moon but still, very nice.

Wordsworth said that " poetry is the spontaneous overflow of powerful feelings". I applaud you for having such feelings and sharing it here. I also write poem but on my own language, hence i know, how hard to write a poem and basically a tremendous like this one. One thing i wish to ask you.... are you sure the moon should be considered as HE, here moon is a feminine gender. anyway, keep it up and have a nice day.

A very beautiful and soulful poem. Possibly a hidden meaning about lovers who cannot be together and have to hide their love from the world?

Very beautiful poem. When I first started writing I started with poetry, and then went on to article writing, which is what I do now. I can still write poetry, but I can only seem to write one when I am in a sad soulful mood.
