Well, there is free and then there is free. The RepRap project is a 3D printer that is made of parts that it can make, so if your friend has one; soon you do too!

Its a nice thought but you know as well as I that the hustlers would be sure to be first in line and trying to sell it to the folks further down in line who didn't want to wait their turn..Enjoy!
