Perhaps, like me you have a great number of tools; it is after all tools that separate us from the animals. I am interested to here about your favourite tools, what you use most, what you never use and how many hammers you have? all the best urban

Chimps are known for fashioning tools and in fact using multiple tools. http://www.navs-online.org/animal_issues/animal_intel/human_sup.php For me my favorite tool is a hammer. If the hammer I have at hand won't do the job I get a bigger hammer.

Chimps use implements not tools; a tool is an artefact fashioned for a specific purpose. The site you cite is nonsense "Since the dawn of time, we were supposedly the only animals with a real language. By the 20th century that notion was already discredited," Except no other animal has been shown to use a real language! Yes, animals communicate but don't use a real language Yes, animals use implements but don't fashion tools all the best urban

Ten more examples of animals that use tools and some that make them. While we have not deciphered the language of Hump Back Whales there is considerable evidence that they have one. http://www.livescience.com/9761-10-animals-tools.html

Again all are examples of implement use not tool fabrication and whilst there is evidence that whales communicate there is none that they use language all the beast urban

I don't think it is actually tools what make the difference from annimals, a lot of annimals use some kind of tools. I think is art which makes the difference: the eternal interest that mankind have to speak to the society with abstract representations... anyways, at the moment I don't have hammers (I used to have two but I have lost them) so now my favourite tools, apart from the computer and printer, are a pen, a scotch and a cutter...

And of course, you have that greatest of tools; language. Animals use implements not tools, they do not fashion something for a purpose as we do noises into language and matter into tools. So, you have no chair, toilet, tap, etc? all the best urban
