An Englishman's home is his shed! But what of elsewhere

Go to any English town and you can be sure that there are men happily beavering away in their sheds. Shed technology can be amazing; I am reminded of when the Americans flew their Stealth Bomber into an air show in Britain. Couldn't be tracked by the military but some chap followed it all the way on his home built apparatus. Then there was the New Zealander that built the fastest ever Indian and raced it to a record, so shed technology does go on elsewhere but what about your country? Do you have a shed, I want to hear about it all the best urban

I never heard of the guy tracking the stealth bomber but I happened to catch the movie about the guy who built the Indian and it made me read up on it more, what an amazing feat! I have a shed but its just for storage, my dad on the other hand has a shed with all manor of gizmo's and tools, hes a DIY man and no problem that is thrown at him is too much. He taught me a lot when I was growing and we spend many a day tinkering around, very handy indeed!

I'd like to think it happens here in America. A lot of it has to do with carpentry and the rest technological advances when it comes to computers etc. Of course we have people like that who developed napster. There are of course men and women who create jewerly and other things, but as for "new" and "exciting" it happens, it's just not very much broadcasted.
