Long term goal is to build my future with my own family.
Short term goal is get lots of sleep to be ready for work later tonight.
Do you think it is important to setup goals for yourself or live live and just go with the flow?

My current goal is to stay here in my company for at least six months because I'll be moving to another company after this one. My problem is I'm getting bored already working for this company. I don't really like working here but the pay is good and that's the only thing keeping me here.

hi redphile.
long term goal is global domination.
short term goal is to transcribe the song 'blow the whistle' by jay-z without searching for its lyrics in the net.
'we the best of the best, we here so the rest can take a rest...'

Yes I have some goal in my life and I want to achieve that goal in any condition. I want to become a successful software engineer in my life because I have done my computer engineering and now I am struggling for jobs. So this is my goal and also there are many things which I want to get in my life.

Good for you! A lot have been successful in the computer business so I guess you will never go wrong in the computer scene.
We all have our different goals in life and we want to achieve them all, so we should start small, at the bottom and work our way up.

My current goal, both short term and long term to an extent, is to complete my Master's degree. Changes in the economy may have mandated that its not as useful as I thought it was when I first started my education. However, I had started it, so I rather intend to finish it all things considered. There are just a lot of times where I start something and its hard to finish but I got to.
I think goals are important but don't be surprised if something occurs that will throw the entire structure off balance to say the very least. There are just way too many times where I had a goal that made sense with my life. However circumstances really do in fact change. So therefore there are times where even with a goal, you need to be prepared to goal with the flow and see where life takes you.
