I don't think i have been given the right treatment! I was asked to go over my previous employer because, after 3 months, they finally got a replacement for me. they asked for a favor and told me to go over and see if i can discuss some things to the newbie... well i said i might be busy.. and i will see to it... but then our work was suspended today so i had a chance to go south ( i am living in the north area) about 2 hours away.. so off i went.. then i waited for my previous boss he requested that i wait for her actually i planned to stay only about 2 hours but then it was already almost 6pm. about 4 hours i was there it was so tiring!! i know it was my choice to go there, i just did not want to leave a bad name... but then i realized it was not worth it... gee... i did not asked them to give me super thanks, but then i got a "can we call you if we have questions?" hay im just so tired right now and well.. maybe i really that is why i am feeling super neglected! =(

Were you even being paid for this? It doesn't seem like you were. You were being polite by going, but it wasn't right they had you sit there and wait just to be told "oh we'll call ya if we have questions, is that alright?" I'd have said 'No! I've been too kind, you either ask what you need now or forget about it. I'm not even being paid for this!." Okay so I may have chickened out on that, but the point is you weren't being treated fairly, having to wait four hours and the cost of travel there mustn't have been so cheap, wasi t?

Of course you shouldn't care about them in future anymore. They should be thankful that you willing to return to their company to guide the new staff. The next time they are asking for your guide and asked you to go there again, you can just give an excuse. It is not your mistake...

Usually, i never have to got to any previous company of mine to guide the newbies when i am resigning from them. Usually, the company would have found the new staff to replace me within my resigning period. So, before my last day in that company, i will just need to hand over those items that have connection with my post to the new staff. Anything that she don't understand she can immediately ask me before i left that company. I think that ex-company of yours have a fussy boss. That's why although you are not connection with them anymore still daring to ask you go back to guide their new staff. Hope you will give them a good answer if they ever call you for help again. Hope you will get over your sadness soon.

I would be po'd if this happened to me. You went out of your way to be helpful and that's a good thing to do. They were the jerks. I would try to not waste any more emotion on them. You did the right thing and have that satisfaction. You gave them a chance to get some info, they didn't appreciate it, your part is over.
