Remembering him

Yesterday August 01 was the birth anniversary of my late father. He was born on this day in 1913. He was a scholar. While still in school, he had joined the revolutionaries and his name figures in number of books written by eminent people. My father had also written several books on war of Independence and his book 'Rakta ke Chhitein' was well received by people. After 1947, he became a Lecturer and thereafter went to Minnesota University in US of A. He retired as Dean of Education in Bihar. I remember him very much as he lived a very simple and honest life. His desire was that he would live with me after his retirement. Unfortunately, both my father and mother died within three months in 1976 when I was at a very far off place in my job. I received the news after three-four days of their demise. Yesterday, I looked at their photographs and lived in the history for number of hours.

I have teary eyes when reading your post. My heart deeply feels your love for them. You have a great family. You have the names in public. Wherever they are now I am sure they miss you just like the way of missing them too. I know how it feels losing someone we really love. Despite of that let's continue living our life happily everyday. =)

My heart goes out to you. I have had my son taken away by his father and I am fighting for custody and I know that this can not compare, but I at least know the pain of loosing someone. I hope you were thinking of the good times with them. I know that I will fall apart when my parents pass on. You are a strong person.
