We're wimping out our kids.

I see more & more of these young guys which I'm not too sure ARE guys. They're some of the biggest wimpiest young men since man started walking upright. Our efforts to protect our kids has turned them into lethargic do nothings. Seriously why would a kid want to leave a video game to go play outside when their playground is a 12 foot tall piece of plastic surrounded by rubber shavings? The slide slopes so gently water barely runs off it & there's no swings , merry go rounds or teeter totters to be seen. It's a bounce house that doesn't bounce...
Your not even allowed to play dodgeball in schools anymore. How's a kid supposed to work out their agression?
No wonder they'd rather just play Halo.
From what I understand it's even worse up north. At least the red knecks know how to rough house.

I agree - children's lifestyle has changed much during the last decades. I recall my childhood: I woke up in the morning, had my breakfast and went out right away to play sport games or go swimming and so on. When I came home in the evening, I was exhausted but happy - I had a day full of fun. Nowadays children have become lazier and their interests have changed. They find all their entertainment inside a little box called computer. I think it's (at least partially) parents' fault, cause some of them find it easier to leave the kid sitting at the PC than go outside with him/her and show their kid other things that can be done to have fun. That's quite sad, cause it ruins children's health and abuses their minds.

That's what mine does uath, even if it's just dragging a stick around in the dirt and catching frogs because she can't find a buddy to play with.
