I often have sinus problems, but recently I have had it for a couple of months. I have had repeat prescriptions of antibiotics and tablets for dizziness, but it hasn't healed. Do you think I have allergies? How would I get this diagnosed? I am sick of being unwell for so long and feel very tired. Can you suggest any natural cures?

http://www.natural-holistic-health.com/onion-and-garlic-herbal-profile/ Onions and garlic have special healing powers for this type of illness! This is how we got rid of my husbands congestion and sinus infections. He simply added garlic, and more onion to his everyday diet, and that didn't work as well, but then the next time, he started taking garlic supplements, and it was gone within a few days, and with daily use of the supplements, he hasn't had another sinus infection since then.

I add garlic to my cooking now, but hardly use oninon as I have been told I have a sensitivity to onion which seems to affect my stomach. Good suggestion, I will have to take some more garlic supplements - I have used these from time to time. I have also found that swimming seems to help a little bit, but I am worried for my ears when I swim at the moment.

I heard on a talk show the other day that Garlic is best used raw. And even better the garlic leaves. I am no expert and I would think raw garlic would taste horrible.

Yes, there are many natural cures out there, but you want to get the one that's right for your condition as well as find out what it is that you have so that you can take measures to avoid or limit your exposure. Are you open to homeopathy? You have some of the best right there in Queensland! I've had some very good results from here in the past. Hair analysis would be the way to go with this one. Have a look online for S.A.F.E. Analytical Laboratories in Burleigh Junction or try here: http://www.naturaltherapypages.com.au/therapist/allergyfoodtesting/25909 Often moulds, bacteria, allergies or even "normal", "innocent" household chemicals can do this to us. This method works, is affordable & takes "no time" & includes ongoing follow-ups & telephone support 24/7.

thanks veganbliss. Yes I am open to it and have taken drops for dustmite and dander that was homeopathic, prescribed from a naturopath. But I was also on a raw food diet at the time, so I was probably a lot healthier! The lady I went to put my hand into a machine and read my results on a computer screen, then gave me a report of things I needed etc. My sister has also been to her when her baby was having problems and had to go on a very strict diet for a while (no dairy, flour etc) which is when i made her the raw birthday cake. Another naturopath I saw used a method, which may have been biofeedback. She had samples of many different things in a vial hooked up to a machine with a little metal prod on it, she prodded my had with the metal prod as she pressed the other end against all the different vials, the readings on the screen showed what you are sensitive too etc. I had about 38 sensitivities, hardly any of the normal things you would expect like gluten and dairy but things like bananas, pineapple (nearly poisonous to me), tomatoes, onions, soy, polyester and lots more things. Basically a lot of things I ate as a vegetarian, I was sensitive too. After stopping these things for a long period and visiting the other lady (above) she said I didn't have a problem with those things any more, except the dust. We have got the hair analysis for my dad once, so you are right, it is something I could try for myself as well.

It could be allergies. One thing people miss when doctoring for this or colds it change out your tooth brush. Or at least use some peroxide on it after you have been sick, otherwise you can reinfect yourself. I have not tried it but I am told Sweet Oil(olive oil) is good for the ears. I have benign Positional Vertigo and I have to take an antihistamine everyday for it. And like you I am looking for natural cures as well.
