Will you really have a nosebleed when you're in a sticky situation?

Is this really true or is it a myth? My friend told me the other day that he had a nosebleed at class because he can't understand the lessons the teacher was teaching. I just said that it just normal because of our crazy weather and it has nothing to do about being able not to understand about his lessons. Is it really true that you'll get a nosebleed by just simply not understanding or you can't comprehend somethings taught to you or is just about the weather? I should Email the Mythbusters about this question too! LOL

Some people are more prone to nosebleeds than others. I know several people, my son-in-law being one of them, who have nosebleeds when they are in stressful situations. I think that this is because the blood vessels in their nose are particularly thin walled and that stress (or blushing, which often happens in certain stressful situations) increases the blood pressure in these small blood vessels and they break, causing a nosebleed.

I don't think that it's to do with not being healthy and not eating (though a person's general well-being could affect many things, of course). I wouldn't be surprised if this person frequently has nosebleeds - or more frequently than other people. Hot weather can also bring on nosebleeds because the body sends more blood (at high pressure) to the skin, nasal passages and lungs in order to cool the body.

I think that nosebleed can be caused by intension.Sometimes people are eager to finish something, the stress may cause the nosebleed.Meanwhile I think if your body isn't in a good condition.nosebleed can bother you.

That's it! When you are eager to finish something like cramming before an exam you will lose your appetite and that will be one thing that can affect your body condition against sickness. One thing more, Where does the blood come from? Is something wounded inside our body that leads us to nosebleed?

Maybe the blood come from the small blood vessels in head. And the blood can only flow through the nose.

I think it's just a myth. I think it's because our brain is working too hard that it's bleeding and the blood comes out of our nose, maybe that's why they call it "nosebleeding".

No you're probably watching too much anime. LOL ..because I think it only happens over there. For a proof, I've never had any nosebleeds in social situations wherein I get anxious when people try to converse with me.
