A few days ago an external hard drive of pc got damaged technically its MRB got corrupted because of some bad sectors. When I asked a friend of mine about this, he gave me an address of a person who deals with such stuff in recovering the data of damaged hard disks and to my surprise when i reached the address it was actually a clinic and the concerned person was a doctor and was at that time examining his patients. So I can to know that the doctors side business was recovering data from hard drives. Can you imagine this or have encountered such a person. It seems very hilarious to me but i still respect the talent of that person. What do you think of this.

At first I thought your friend referred to you the wrong person :) I'm glad you've talked to the dentist. If it was me I might have gone home without asking, thinking it could have been a prank my friend played on me. He is so talented, good for him!

before going to him I was also thinking that my friend is using the term doctor as a metaphor for computer expert. But he was examining patients at that time i.e. a real physician. I firstly hesitated to go and talk to him but then i saw a bunch of cpu's lying ona table paced in the clinic then i became determined to ask him and his response was simply to write my mobile number on the HDD box and he will call when the work is complete. HE is quite talented and experienced!

Not so strange, really. I'm an engineer and I recover data from PC's as a hobby. Come to my clinic! haha

I think you do not understand it. Being an engineer means you are in a technical field but you can not treat persons. thanks for the response!

I have met a lot of doctors who are computer gurus too. I suppose diagnosis and cure are much the same in either case. The only thing that worries me is that knowing the long hours that they work as doctors, and that they have this extra hobby too, when do they sleep? Being examined by a bleary eyed doctor doesn't instill much confidence.

well that's a... pretty hilarious situation, to be honest. Haha. But seriously, though, I'd like to ask, what kind of a friend is that person? I mean, it's so harsh of him to send you to that doctor, or probably the doctor can actually fix external HDs? I don't know, but that's how I feel: What was your friend thinking????

Well the friend actually had a previous encounter with that guy and The doctor is now famous for his dual work in our town and is very good in recovering HDD's that is why my friend suggested him. It was hilarious for me and my other friend when we visited him and were even reluctant to take the HDD to him as he was examining his patients at that time.

At first I found this amusing but later i realized that the person must be respected because of his smartness and dedication to work. Surely these kinds of persons are very difficult to find!
