Hi everyone! What a bad week for me and for the rest of my family! My sister had fever last week and next 2 days it was gone.. but after a week she got fever again.. and red spots starting to occur over her body, rashes.. so, my mom and dad rushed her to the nearest hospital.. The doctor confirmed that she has a dengue.. Not worst but still dangerous if we will not take necessary action. There's one thing that the doctor said that makes my mom and me cried. My sister's platelets is only 51 which is not good because the normal is 100. I am really worried. We don't know where did my sister get in that she got dengue, since our house is clean, the canals are close, no stocked water anywhere and etc.. Its just so sad. Any tips guys what to do? Will it appreciate it very much!

I think the best thing to do is to be strong for your sister and to pray.Leave it all to God and he will answer your prayers.I hope your sister gets better soon!

hi edss I am so sorry to hear your sister has Dengue fever but rest assured its not because of your home, she got bitten by a mosquito that carried the disease. now she is in the hospital in your country she will get excellent care and in now time be all well and healthy again. It takes time as its done a number on her blood but with the necessary blood transfusions she will be well soon.

If your sister's platelets counts is low therefore you need her to undergo a blood transfusion to replace the platelets that she lost. Ok let say that your house is very clean and no stock waters anywhere, what about the outside like schools, restaurants, streets and etc. I feel that she got it outside. My advice to your sister are: drink a lot of water, have plenty of rest, eat plenty of fruits and vegetables and last but not the least prayers.

hi,edsss,i'm sorry to hear that, however, according to my experience dengue will not last long maybe just a week. in april this year when arrived jakarta on business for engineer project the site filled with mosquitoes is not that good and almost four co-workers got dengue because of bited by mosquitoes, whereas there isn't this disease in my country and we were very scared.after one week treatment, this guys came back again. so just don't worry about it and it will gona be ok.

Since its the rainy season Dengue morbidity would arise. even if you have a clean house but you have neighbors that might not have a clean surroundings. and mosquitos fly afterall so we are not safe from dengue. If your sis platelet would go down I think she'll have a Blood transfusion. It's ok though that she's in the hospital now. Don't worry much about it. We have good doctors and nurses in our country. She'll be properly taken care of. Just distract her and play with her during her stay in the hospital. She has IV therapy now right? must be hard for her to have something connected on her hand and can't play freely. and most of all..pray :D it helps! If she's admitted at the hosp she might stay there for 3-4days. don't worry much about it. trust your healthcare :)

Hi missyphoebe.. Yes she has IV therapy and she cannot play even a little with our youngest sister!I do trust our doctor and nurses here, what worries me the most is the money we will spend for her medicines, vitamins and for the hospital bill too! But what I want as of now is for her to be well soon!

Oh my bunso, this is really sad news! WE can never tell where your sister got the bite from the certain mosquito. Even actors and actresses had dengue, you know how conscious they are when it comes to cleanliness, right? I'm really not aware of some ways on how to cure it bunso but I know one way to heal it,pray! I will also pray for your sister's recovery bunso! Just show her how much you love her bunso, this somehow helps.
