Do you enjoy sneezing?

I know it's a weird question, but I actually do. I like the feeling when all my muscles get tense and then suddenly relaxed. It also helps me clean my respiratory system, any dust and filth particles are removed from my nose. However, continuous sneezing annoys me. It happens a lot in spring when I have this hay fever. Pollen particles keep on irritating my nose and sometimes I just can't stop sneezing. It sucks. So what about you? Do you like or hate sneezing or perhaps you don't really have a strong opinion? Please share.

Allergies suck, it's true. It's also true that when you keep on blowing your nose you may end up with heavy sneezing. It's because the nose gets irritated and reacts like that. Thanks for your reply! ;)

I don't like sneezing especially in public. I remember sneezing in public then and all the booger came out of my nose.

Hahahaaa, I laughed so hard right now!! Sorry. It's just...I have had the same situation - my nose was full and after trying to sneeze silently I ended up with booger flying out of my nose lol! I know it's gross, but sometimes you can't just do anything bout it! Thanks for your answer! ;)

I sneeze a lot, and sometimes quite violently. I hate it as it interrupts whatever I'm doing. I get really irritated with myself each time I get caught for a sneeze.

True, sneezing can seriously interrupt your current activity. If you're holding something in your hands, you might drop it and so on..So be careful next time you sneeze! Thanks for answering! ;)

Well this is really not something that I really have thought about before. My enjoyment of sneezing or lack there of. So kudos to you for making my brain work in a slightly different way. Now let's get down to business. The feeling of sneezing is something that I am rather indifferent to, unless it really happens in a time where I need to focus. I don't know if its just me, but there is just something about sneezing that is going to throw my entire system out of whack. Not to mention the times where I sneeze when I am talking. Thus when I sneeze when I am talking, my tongue is motion and sometimes I bite my tongue. Thankfully not drawing any blood but still it does sting just a little bit. Also there have been times where I have sneezed so much my eyes have watered or that I have fogged up my eye glasses. So unless it drastically affects my life, then I'm indifferent but slightly agitated if it becomes a problem.

Yea, I see...Sneezing can be very disturbing in certain moments. Sometimes it completely interrupts the current activity with unpleasant results. Thanks for sharing your thoughts! ;)

I personally hate sneezing because it makes my head hurt and i do it all the time. I got copd with allergies and they go all the time. The sneezing seems to make it a little hard to breathe some times for me. But i do agree with the muscle part though. That part is nice.

Nice topic man! Well, sneezing is really enjoyable. In some parts of the world, like in ours sneezing is an habit. People use some powder to inhale which causes sneezing, they enjoy it a lot, I mean they're addict. So, my point is that this is not uncommon. It's perfectly normal. Scientifically sneezing brings a halt to all body activities temporarily. That makes us feel reborn, and that's why it's enjoyable, especially when we are sick. Happy Sneezing! LoL!

Wow! Didn't know that in some parts of the world people are so fond of sneezing that they even try to provoke the sneeze artificially! That's cool. I agree with you, sneezing freezes the whole body for a second or two and then a powerful burst of energy follows and we feel refreshed. Thanks for responding and happy sneezing for you too! :)

What a question!! . Actually i also like sneezing but i didn't realize it before until i read your topic. . Yes sometimes sneezing gives feel of satisfaction, comfort to me as it removes filth and cleans up respiratory system. But yes continuous sneezing also sucks it also irritates me a lot in winter days. My father also likes it. I have never seen him sneezing continuously but he only sneezes once but very very loudly and says volcano bursted out!! LOL!

Hahaha, good one! Volcano bursted out lol! I must say that my mother is that volcano in our family. When she sneezes, I think the sound can be heard miles away. Thanks for responding! ;)

i think its nice to sneeze every once in awhile, but i hate it when i'm outside and i can stop sneezing, i think its shameful, and some think you're spreading some contageous desease if you're sneezing outside.

Yeah, continuous sneezing in a crowded place can draw unwanted attention. In these cases I try to cover my nose and mouth with my shirt sleeve in order to silence the sound and prevent possible germs from spreading. Thanks for responding! ;)

I have hay fever too! But it's really annoying when you sneeze one time and then more just simply come after and then your nose becomes heavily blocked. If I sneeze just since or twice, I inhale a large amount of air and simply let out a big one. It's the big ones that make you feel relaxed and content after you let it out. But of course you wouldn't want to do that in public.
• Estonia

Yeaaah, big ones are good! But if you just keep on going until your nose can't take it anymore, it really sucks! I have experienced much of this in the spring. Thanks for responding! ;)

I don't like it and I don't hate it. My grandpa used to sneeze a lot, sometimes for half an hour. In my village, we think sneezing is a bad thing, and we always use good words to say bad things. When someone sneezes, we say he's going to make a fortune. Because the sneezing sound is similar to the sound of making fortune. Funny, isn't it?

Yeah, I've heard that many beliefs are related to sneezing. The most widespread must be that if person sneezes, he/she must be getting ill. In our country people wish health to a person who has just sneezed, so he/she would not get ill. Thanks for answering! ;)

I am going to have to agree with you. Sneezing is great, I absolutely love to sneeze. After I sneeze my head just feels so clear and I feel like I am renewed for a few seconds. Pity the feeling doesnt last longer then that. I also love to sneeze when I am sick, nothing beats having a clear nose after not being able to breath through it for days! I wish I could make myself sneeze whenever I wanted to sometimes. So dont stress you are not alone out there.

I do not like sneezing since it actually disturbs my activity or it affect my action when I am in the middle of conversation. But in a way, sneezing is our body's way of taking out dust or possible infection that want to come in inside our body. So I am thankful for such. But to say that I like it, I am not very much fond of sneezing.

I see.. sneezing makes your body suddenly shake, so it may in some cases be even dangerous (for instance when holding a cup of coffee in your hands). But as you said, sneezing is necessary and we can't usually avoid it. Thanks for your answer! ;)

I have to admit that I've never really thought about it. I would probably have to say that I don't actually mind sneezing. I don't know if I'd say that I like sneezing, but I definitely would say that I hate it either.

LOL I haven't really thought about it.. But I know that when you HAVE to sneeze and you can't - it's the WORST feeling ever. I am in this position often it seems - and I'm struggling to look at some kind of light so I can force the sneeze out. I usually sneeze at the worst times, like when I'm at work and helping a customer. I'm sure that looks just great. LOL.

Hahaha, nice lol! I don't experience this too often (the case when you have to sneeze and you can't). I am sure it must be a real challenge! Thanks for answering! ;)
