Why the name Firefox?

i think its a good name and also the logo because all of us knows that the fox is a fast runner and fire makes it super runner ,super browser,that since it begun i didnt change it

It sounds good. It's unique. We like it. And we weren't able to find any project or company even remotely similar to a web browser that uses the same name. Also as an additional info www.hotmail.com was named after that, aside from the words hot mail which means that its something important or something interesting the name has the letter H, T, M, and L or HTML which is used to construct webpages

The name firefox looks very interesting to me. It is very unique name provides a different position then other browsers like explorer and opera. I think it is fox because it is very sneaky, can sneak every page with cookie like a real fox sneak to its food. Fire stands for its blazing speed. So fire fox name looks appropriate to me.
