Is file downloading speed depend on this ???

Hello Friends
I am used to of downloading files from the Internet. And I noticed that from some sites I am getting good speed of downloading (means as per Internet Service provider).. But downloading files from some sites is really slow. Not because of service provider , but gives quite less speed then normal.
Is it because the server where the file uploaded or site hosted. I mean can slow server cause the slow file downloading speed?? What you think ?

Yeah downloading depends up on few factors.
1. Major one : your ISP providing you speed
2. Also major : the site you are using for download
3. The browser or download manager you are using.
ISP speed of course all know is the main factor.
Source site is also a major part.
For example if you are using 4 MBPS plan from your ISP
you downloading from microsoft.com you will get mostly upto 4 MBPS speed.. but if you download anything from oracle.com it will be downloaded maximum at 1 MBPS in some softwares while in some it maximize upto your download limit.
if you are using firefox or chrome and downloading directly from them then speed is also vary depending upon the memory you have.. but if you using DAP or FDM it will give you maximum speed..

Completely agree..
That's what i want to say.. I have notice this thing that downloading from some sites like yahoo, microsoft is very fast mostly. While from some other sites its little slow than normal. So that's why i thought it also depend on server file hosted. ISP is surely a main factor. Thanks for sharing.

I agree there are at least few elements that have great influence on the speed of download. The download site's server maximum bandwidth available, your ISP server bandwidth, the type of download manager you are using, your computer memory and internal power, all play some role in one way or another in downloading and uploading file online.
