Do you always give a tag while you post any discussion or response?

Hi friends do you always give a tag name to any discussion or to any response when you posted it. I always give a tag name when I posted my own discussion. But I very rare give a tag name to any response because I don’t think that what the meaning of it is. So tell me are you also giving a tag name to any response or discussions.

Tags are used to categorize discussions and to show similar discussions in the sidebar. MyLot Search can also find discussions based on the tags.
I nearly always add tags to any discussions I create or am involved in. I include words which I consider to be 'keywords' and would be helpful to someone looking for the same information.
Tags may also be used by external search engines, which can help MyLot discussions to appear in searches. This helps to increase the membership of MyLot and, indirectly, may help MyLot to earn more revenue (through greater exposure) to share with it's members.

I usually only tag discussions that I start personally. I don't really see a need to add tags to a response. If you get 10-15 responders and all of them add tags to the discussion it would be tagged everywhere which, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of having a tagging system in the first place.

Tags belong to the discussion as a whole but, if your response contains keywords which aren't included in the tags, you should add them. I generally skip the tag dialog but then look to see what tags are listed and what might be useful to add.

I do not post a tag right now on every response i give. I purposely do not put a tag on it. when i am putting a tag before, it is about what is the discussion is all about. Example, if my discussion is about problems at school, I put tags like, problems, school, people, education. These are the tags are used. At present I do not waste my time on putting tags. Maybe because I am tardy to think of the tags I will put on it. Not that I hate tagging, it is just that I am to tired of thinking of what tags I will put.

I post tags when I start a discussion but I don't always give tags to the discussions of others. When you add tags...they are like keywords. If someone was looking for discussions about certain things...they could type a keyword in the search engine searching mylot and if it matched your tag..your discussion would come up.

I rarely do it because most of the time I arrive late at the discussions so other friends already wrote the tags so I don't think I should put the same tags again. Tagging is one of the lazy activity for me to do in mylot. I even state and made a discussion about tagging as one of the thing that I don't bother much in here. Not because I don't want to help in tagging but like what I said before most tags are already there.(^^)
