After He get included in the Squard for England ODI series Rahul Dravid announced his retirement from ODIs and T20 http://rajeevkumarsinghblog.blogspot.com/2011/08/dravid-to-retire-from-odis-after.html
What you guys think was the matter?
It is said that it preplan that BCCI want to give a farewell to "The wall"?
What do you think is this or as rahul say read the post in link. he is honest and didn't tell his decision to the selection committee or BCCI.
What is your opininon is Dravid saying true or it was planned. Also There is need of Dravid Experience in the Team as Other are not performing well.

If it was pre-planned, you have to say that he has been extremely lucky to perform better than any other Rnglish and Indian bateman in the Test Series. Also then the failure of other batsman had to be pre-planned to make Dravid look so good. So India's defeats must have been pre-planned as well. If it has been pre-planned that is a sorry state of affairs and that matches are being fixed. If it was not, it is still a sorry state of affairs as it means that India has no bench strength. Whatever the reason, Dravid deserved a comeback due to his stellar performanses and his ability to cope up with the rising delivery.

As i was in hurry so i didnm't reply you as per subject basis, As far as decision is concern it was all good as only rahul dravid is one who is sutaining the english condition and no one else.
You can say that as a slap but it a right move from the Great player of INDIA who give alots. I think he made the in future BCCI didn't play with him like picking and droping.

I think this is another murky event in Indian cricket. I think the selectors really panicked to pick Dravid in the T20 and ODI squads. I think that is because of the failure of the other batsmen in the test matches so far. It is a step in the backward direction. What's more now that Dravid has announced his desire to step down after this series, it really makes a mockery of this selection.
Cheers!
Ram

What this murky mean?
Yes it is obious tha because other had failed so dravid was selected as he is only current inform batsman for INDIA in the ongoing seires in Englkand
Well Rahul Did good thing as he may dropped for the other series and maynot got his change to play agin .It was a minded good decision.

Indian team were flying high before their WI tour. There they won first three ODI and first test but failed to keep the momentum. It was not a strong WI team. A weak and vulnerable team. Though except Dravid almost all suffered a major setback there, failing to score runs especially in the last two tests. But Dravid proved his class once again and let the team win a test to win the series and also prevented any loss with his classy batting. In England too, where almost all failed to survive in the crease, he stood tall and scored to centuries each in the first innings of the both test matches. Hadn't he scored the centuries, India could have suffered more humiliating defeat. Till now, two tests has been played and India haven't showed their class and talent till yet. Accustomed in the flat pitch in the subcontinents where balls merely swings, lacks bounce, India got the real test in the English 22 yards. The balls are not only swinging, but also cutting at tremendous speed, with bounce and seems to be behaving strangely to the Indians. The English bowlers are bowling at their best and fully utilizing the condition of the pitches taking the inability of the Indian batsmen playing short balls and swinging balls. We remember, during Champions Trophy, in South Africa, India needed someone who can play in fast and bouncy pitch. So the selectors included Rahul Dravid in the squad and threw him after the series. Now, almost same situation has arrived. Even people with little knowledge about cricket can understand the history will repeat itself again. So, Rahul didn't want to bear the same humiliation again so he took a wise decision like Saurav Ganguly. He could have slapped harder, had he said he is unavailable for the selection in the limited over matches after being re called. That could be the perfect reply to the humiliations but this seems better as he can retire after playing matches, not had to retire after being ignored by the selectors of the squad.

Yes INDIA have real test in the Emglish condtion where there is bounce in the pitch as well as seaming condition.
Dravid is class batsman who have all power to hit the ball where he want. He is the one which buildup the test team i for sure say. Under his performcance INDIA had able to win many of the test before and might like they will in future too.
It wrong if Rahul dravid had said no to ODI for this series as He is an INDIAN so he must keep the personal affection and other things which is huring him apart from the Game and Play for INDIA and Not for the selector who give him the chance.
All INDIAN people know what Rahul Dravid is and he must not tell what he is.
His bat will speak in ODI series which will tell how fit he is for the ODI. All other hero of INDIA gone to zero and Only hero left with us is "the wall".

Hi rajeev,
It is the right decision by Rahul Dravid to retire from O.D.I. and T20 format of the game so that he can concentrate on test cricket. I hope he will retire himself from IPL version of T20 also. That will prolong his life in test cricket. Rahul Dravid has timed his retirement decision perfectly when B.C.C.I. has selected him for O.D.I. series in England. In India they do not need him because the lambs in England turn tigers at home. I do not thing that his inclusion in the team is stage managed by B.C.C.I. for his retirement. Rahul's inclusion in the team is the need of the hour for Indian team who are struggling like amateurs in front of highly professional English side as aptly said by Sunil Gavaskar.

Thanks for the reply you made
I my consideration what happen is because of the time as the INDIAN batsman failing time and again in the england seirese and only dravid is who holding a good fight back so he had been in the team. It also the right decisin from the BBCI to made him play
Now it also time for Rahuldravid to say good bye to short format of the game likely T20 and ODIS, i think he must have opt out for the IPL as his team BANgalore didn't select him as like of KUmble.
