I have used Virgin Mobile for years and the past two phones I got from them I could not get to work properly.Virgin Mobile has changed there system and services so much that I don't like them anymore, which is sad because I have spent so much money with them.
.
The first phone was a Rumor Touch,I guess it works like it is supposed to.But,not what I want and Virgin Mobile did not send me full instruction manual to operate it.And when I called them I was told they did not have one that I had to call the company that makes the phone or just play around with it until I could figure it out.The got $120 for that phone.
Then,I ordered a simpler phone from them, the Restore,$80.It was not working right.I could make calls and receive them.I could take pictures, but only one sent for me! The web pages never worked, couldn't get to them.
.People would call me and it would not show up on my caller ID.
I called them and they said that there is nothing wrong with my phone, that the persons calling must of blocked the caller ID.This did not happen, the people that called were family members or close friends.A couple of those people are not phone savvy enough to figure out how to block.Lol!
So,after I had it for 30 days,I am told that the free warranty is up and if I want to return it then I should of bought the extended warranty or had called before the 30 days was up!Now they have gotten rid of the photo save program and I am losing a lot of pictures. You cannot buy the unlimited plan, like you used to unless you have one of these higher priced phones.
Now I bought a refurbished phone from AT&T and it works fine,so far
Has anyone had problems with prepaid Virgin Mobile or AT&T Go phone services?

Hey dfollin,
I currently have corgi mobile and I have had it for months now to be honest the $25 a month is a great deal but now it's $35 so that's okay I pay that right now with my blackberry and I think the service is Great.. I love my blackberry to be hoenst it works perfectly fine I love it haha.. The 3G connection is good enough for my blackberry.
I thi k recently they got a smartphone that can go hand in hand with top wireless companies. Or of those 4 inch plus size screen with a front and back facing camera android and everything.. Which is very popular in the market now haha. I wish they had better 3G service. But it's a prepaid network hard to fine a good phone and good service but.. Once I'm done I'm going to get my hands on the EVO HTC 3D from sprint.
Which sprint bought out virginmobile and gave them good but not the best 3G network but sprint is now. 4G well at least where I live haha? But it yeah I thik ATT for a 2yr cntract too much with a deposit.

Hey dfollin,
Yeah I have heard of that before just I'm not all that interested into pay while you go because you don't get the full test of the network and the really nice phones aren't prepaid.. I just wish they made bett phones for that.. Then I'm sure they will lose a lot of 2 yr contract people so that's probably the reason why haha

It doesn't take a rocket sitence to block a call. Some phones do that. And, in those cases your friends could have been the one with phone problems. So it may not have been your phone's fault in that respect. The other stuff well probably. Though I don't have time to waste on pre-paid phones like that. Nope.... I am with T-mobile and have been for nine years just about. eight at least and I've had little trouble.
Watch out for AT&T though. Unless you're careful you may end up spending more then you bargained for. I used to end up spending more money on them then I cared to and got the run-around just like you did with VIrgin mobile. Get a post-paid plan if you can... in the long-run you'll be much better off.

I have used post paid services with both T Mobile and Sprint. And both times I ended up paying out more then I did with a prepaid phone service.
.I have had a Go Phone account with AT&T for my 14 year old daughter for 10 months now and never had to call them once except for to pay each month and that only took a few minutes.Once I get my finances straightened out then I can do auto pay and won't have to use that 2 minutes. With both Sprint and T Mobile I was told that some feature was included in my plan and I would us it and it would cost me more than I had planned.
And as far as the block, one of the people was my brother who's calls have NEVER been blocked. The last 2 calls he had made to me on that phone didn't show that ANY calls came in.My brother doesn't even understand how to get a text message or send one.Another call was from my mother who only has given her cell phone number to a few people and has only made a few important phone calls when she is out.She doesn't even like cell phones. She answers it and has made a few calls, plugs it in to charge it.They don't have a clue! Then there were a few other calls that did not show up at all as well.If the number is blocked it will say so,just not show at all.
