The weather is very Hot! This creates many challenges. They say to drink lots of water. Can drinking too much water put you in the hospital?? YES! One can drink enough water to dilute one's electrolytes. If they get low enough, you are in big trouble. I'm not saying don't drink water just don't drink so much. Run water on your skin to cool off instead or drink those drinks that contain electrolytes with them. Stay in the shade. Wait for a cooler time to be out. Don't let the heat get to you. Man is supposed to be the smartest creature. If this is so then why is man the only creature who goes out in the midday sun when it's really hot?? Not too smart after all.

Hi bird: Nice advices. I try to take care of myself specially from the sun. Because it can give you serious problems to your skin, etc. I didn't know about the problems you can get from drinking too much hot water. I drink a lot of water, I just feel the need to do it. It makes me feel healthier actually but I think I'll try to think more about this advice. ALVARO

Oral rehydration salts (ORS) are essential in hot countries but even they can be dangerous if overused. They actually taste good to me, so I probably drink too much. I'm told that too much Sodium can lead to loss of Calcium from the body. Electrolytes are a very complicated to maintain. Eat a banana too to give the needed Potassium.

Balance is important. Perhaps you have a good idea. Tropical fruits are made for people to eat in the hot climates. Bananas sound good.

what we take must be in the right amount. The same with water,if we drink too much water ,it can bring about hyponatremia phenomenon. It is well known that sodium is important electrolytic that maintains osmotic pressure of human cell . If sodium is too low ,It will affect the body's various functions.

What has been said is agreeable although small or big quantity water we drink should be confirmed first if its pure drinking water, if not, one should look for reliably pure drinking water and then have moderate quantity of it to fulfill thirst.

Well, I guess anything taken too much of is bad.. even water. I don't take too much of water though, I don't even reach the 8 glasses a day. I can't avoid going out into the sun when it's hot though since I have school and I have to travel, and people have to work to live..

I have questioned that 8 glasses per day. It does seem like a lot unless the glasses are small.

You could also drink dirty water with chemicals or microscopic things in it. Water is usually good for you though. If your worried aboit electrolytes drink some gatorade with your water dummy. :P

I couldn't go for dirty water. Water tastes different in different parts of the country. Some places just the taste will make you go for bottled water instead of the tap.
