i've got this really weird habit of playing a certain song that i like at the moment over and over and over and over (well, you get the picture right?) again...my itunes playlist looks sorta silly since i have these songs that have play counts adding up to a hundred in the play count column while the rest only add up to 1,2, or 3 at max and the rest haven't even been played at all. right now i'm obsessed with this song "sky" by joshua radin and i just can't seem to stop listening to it. i know this wouldn't be what you'd call a "unique" problem 'cause i'm pretty sure (well, mostly sure, if not averagely sure) that a lot of people out there do this too...right? oh i hope i'm right .

It's not a problem, in fact I myself would do the same if there's a song that I really like so much that I can play it the whole day just for a single song :D I've been listening to a lot of music a lot. I've got diverse collection of music on my iTunes, and some songs in it, I can play repeatedly the whole day without getting bored :D Only, my brother or sister complains about it when they know I've been listening to the same song over and over again for the entire day haha.

i'm starting to realize it really isn't a problem now.more of a habit. i too have people complaining about my tendency to play a single song repeatedly, given that the song would be just really awesome. i've even tried leaving my player on throughout the night so that a certain song would be the last thing i hear before i go to sleep, and the first thing i hear when i wake up. :)

There are times that I'm also like that. If I find a very good song, I will play it all over and over again until I get tired of it. There's a song by David Archuleta that I played for more than an hour all over and over.

I don't think it's odd to like a song so much you play it over and over again. I know of at least one other person who has done this; and when I was younger, I'm convinced I did the same myself on occasion. Only, having otten older, I'm less likely to do that now. I still love music passionately; with when I was young, I was fanatical about it. I certainly used to play the same album over and over again. These days, strangely enough, if I love an album, it's not unusual for me to only play it once.

For me yes it is good so that you feel good and inspired at all anyway and plus your heart would be made exercise.

lol, maybe I do too dear when I'm into a song that really keeps playing in my mind even when I'm not listening I can become obsessive as well, nothing like a great melody

if i like a song i always put it on repeat, and play it over and over. though i remember remember a story about a woman being evicted, or prosecuted, or something, for playing "i will always love you" by whitney houston repeatedly. so i try not to annoy the neighbours. though just because other people do it doesn't mean it isn't a problem!

There are a lot of people that do the same thing, including myself ! When I get 'hooked' on a song I play it, play it, and play it, for a very long time! I have some songs that I still listen to, that I have listened to for over 35 yrs! I don't think there is anything wrong with that, to me it's just a form of relieving stress, or just enjoying a relaxed time off, or just plainly, passing the time!
