In one of the most exciting Community Shield matches of the past few years, Man U managed to come from behind to beat Man City 3-2. In the exciting derby, Man City drew the first blood via goals from Lescott and Dzenko. De Gea in the Man U goal looked a bit edgy. But after the break the Red Devils came back in true Man U style through goals from Smalling and a brace from Nani including a winner during the second half injury time. A great start to the season. Hopefully this season we will see a lot of competitive football. Cheers! Ram

I myself wasn't very impressed by the performance as well it is just a community shield(that said a cup is a cup at the end). I am looking forward to this season but must admit I have not followed the transfer news at all during the break so i guess someone needs to catch me up. I think this is a good win for United over their local rivals but feel City won't impress that much this season either. I fear the Top 4 will rejoin us at the top 4.

But City was in the top 4 last season. If any, I think Arsenal seems to be the weak link in the current top 4. Liverpool might break into the top 4 this season. Cheers! Ram

City are not famous for keeping a steady pace. Liverpool have to bounce back or else their support base will well leave I feel and they will be walking alone. But as we have seen many times now the season is long and anything can happen.

I think we must admit that the mentality of MU is much better than Manchester City Mentality can not be bought with money as much as do you had money City may buy Kun Aguerro even though Messi, but the mentality?Who can buy Mentality Mentality still belongs to MU MU and the City Both consider this match is friendly but still very embarrassing losing from a rival in opening party of league Mancini certainly very aware of it. Congratulation To Manchester United and Sir Alex Ferguson

Yes, you got it absolutely right. It was the winning mentality that separated the two teams. Man U did not give up and that allowed them to come back and beat Man City despite being two goals down!! Cheers! Ram

Well done to Man Utd. This match just proven the never dying spirit of the red devils. Despite Ferguson stating that he ain't gonna put too much emphasis on the result, his reactions after Nani second goal proved otherwise. Overall, this is a a good preview to what should be an interesting season ahead. Let the show begins.

And that is something you have to hand it out to Sir Alex. Whatever team he puts out in a red shirt they fight till the last drop of blood. It was really a great second half to overhaul Man City. Also a clear indicator that Mancini's men are still a work in progress. Already Mancini's job is on the spot!! :) Cheers! Ram
