Is is haunted or just an accident prone area.

There are certain roads where vehicular accidents results in several deaths. And since these are frequently occuring, people then conclude that it is accident prone because it is haunted. Could these roads be haunted or these are just simply accident prone.
I could hardly tell myself. Because if it is accident prone then I think it is just because it is just the way it is. And if it is indeed haunted I don't think a good soul who had the first accident in the place be that bad a soul getting others into these accidents unless maybe the soul cannot accept the way died. But for me, I would still prefer that the road is just accident prone. I may not be sure, but what about you?

It is interesting that you started this discussion, because I was wondering the same thing myself and thinking about starting a discussion related to this issue. Not long ago there was another fatal accident along a stretch of road that has had numerous fatal accidents over many decades. The first thing that makes it so strange and difficult to understand about these accidents is that the road where they occur is perfectly straight ... no curves or hidden driveways or anything obstructing a person's view. The second thing that is weird is that most (if not all) of the accidents happen only on one side of the road, which brings us to the third eerie thing ... right by that spot is a cemetery on that particular side of the road.

I am sorry that I have scared you. I really do find it interesting, though. I am sure that there are some people that will try to come up with a "logical" explanation, and maybe there is one, although I am also sure that other people will think that ghosts or spirits are perfectly logical. I just think that it is really strange all the deaths that have occurred there. In fact, it is so bad that they have installed street lights and reflectors along that stretch of road to make sure that it is not some unseen obstacle, even though not all the accidents occur at night.

Do you know that I am alone with my little girl in house at the moment and my neighbors are a little far from here and that I'm trying not to be scared? Hehe. I'm glad that you found my post interesting (although i'm really still struggling not to be scared, hehe). There are things that cannot be explained. And these can be possible. I still find it baffling. Some of these might be caused by some other forces. It is really scary.

I defiantly lean towards accident prone. I lean this way because I live in a very mountainous place. There are narrow, and I say old and badly maintained roads. These roads curve sharply and just as soon as you get around one curve, there is another one going in the opposite direction. You can't see what's at the end of a curve because the mountain is in the way. In addition to that, you have find yourself driving on the edge of a canyon or high on a mountain with a sharp drop.
The area in which I live is populated by speed hungry drivers. They seem to believe that speed limits are there just to irritate you and having nothing to do with safety. Combine these kinds of drivers with mountain roads and you get a high accident rate. This combination alone is worth the work of 100 ghosts.

well really, it could be both.
not so much that it's accident prone because it's haunted.
surely it's more likely to be haunted because it's accident prone.
if an area is likely to cause accidents, especially fatal accidents, then surely it's more likely that there will be several deaths there, and make it more likely to be haunted.

I think that these areas are accident prone rather than haunted. If you check out those areas, surely there are always factors that make it really a problem most especially if the person driving is not familiar with the area. This may include blind curves, lack of lighting, slippery roads etc. It would be best to drive carefully all the time rather than blame the ghost for such misfortune.

Did you read all the responses to this discussion (like mine in the response box just above yours) before responding?

Hi, thetis74. Only God may know the correct answer to this question here. I don't know why certain roads are more accident prone than other roads. I would think that it has to do with how fast the person is driving and the way that the car has been damaged . The road condition may also play a part in this determination too.

I don't believe ghosts can harm a person.so I say accident prone.
