Dropping the kerchief to draw the attention of the "one" used to be in vogue in the good old days but I wonder with paper tissues being the order of the day how do today's youngsters go about drawing attention. Please share your experience.

This reminded me of old Hindi movie scenes, where Hero used to drop the kerchief to draw Heroine's attention.. If I have to draw someone's attention I would directly speak to him/her. Now a days people ask for mobile number of get hold of someone's mobile number to seek their attention.

This used to be the trend during our college days dpk. But it was the girls who dropped the kerchief hoping the one who followed her (in whom she would be interested) would pick it up. And ofcourse say "excuse me you dropped your kerchief" and that would start a conversation which could perhaps lead to further bonding.

How did you go about it? Took down the mobile number or any other way!
