good day fellow mylotters, before, i dont love reading that much. as in, i really dont buy printed books for me to read. due to this reason, my reading and comprehension was not that good. but, lately when kindle, ipad and e-book was introduced, i was fascinated how they look. and because of that, my interest in reading arise. i really just felt that, i love reading now a days. hence, during my childhood days, reading is the least thing that i will do. remembering those times, that when we have a newspaper at home, i will just look for the pictures and advertisement being published and not the article or news written on the sheet. but now, it seems like these gizmo somehow inspires me to become a wide reader. for this reason, i now find reading, one of the interesting hobby to do.

Well these gadgets really do encourage reading because they allow us to have access to a large selection of books. Also the creators are smart and make these devices to look very appealing to us.

One reason I bought a tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab), is so that I can bring my favorite books and read them. I like reading, I always read, I like to gain knowledge, especially with the rapid changing technology that is happening today, what you know today can be revised tomorrow. I still like to read print-outs, wherever and whenever its possible, but I now prefer to read on my tablet.

I love having a book in my hand. I just love to turn the pages or linger on a page for a moment. I also have the habit of reading while I take a bubble bath so if I dropped a kindle or nook then it would be ruined lol. I also like taking it poolside or to the beach and a small book or a medium sized one is perfect. Oh and I love bookmarks. Anything book related I love.

I hate e-books. I hate e-readers, especially the kindle! Big monstrous electronic gadgets claiming to be books! No thank you! I'll gouge my own eyes out first. And then I'll learn brail. I've loved reading forever, but I don't just love reading. I also love books! REAL books that you can hold in your hands and keep in a library. If I want a book that's out of print, I'll search high and low for a printed copy. If I can't find one, I won't read it.

waaaaah! i miss my ebook reader i was reading sigmond freud's psychology of dreams, and charles darwin's evolution. It was so interesting and my screen reader broke. I like reading etexts because you don't have so many dusty books all over the place. I have read helen keller's book, the good earth, and robinson caruso by ebook reader. They are very good to have around and very easy to focus on.

Its good to hear that technology has helped you become more interested in reading books. I enjoyed reading books since I was a teenager, I think ebooks, ipad and other gadgets have made it easier to carry books around without the extra weight in our bags. Downside is that my eyes get so tired, looking at the computer screen all day, that I would rather read paperback books that electronic ones so that I will get the chance to rest my eyes. I still carry real books with me even though I have ebooks in my itouch too

Personally, I have to say that I do prefer reading from an actual printed book rather than an e-book or something. I find that I have an easier time reading actual books, but that's just me. If I have to read an ebook, I will certainly try to do so, but I'd much rather read a printed out book.

I love to read, no matter what I'm reading on!!I own a Kindle and I also have a lot of paperback and hardcover books. I typically just switch it up. Right now I'm reading a physical book. when I'm finished with this one I will probably read a book on my Kindle. I really love my Kindle because all of the books I get on there are free. Amazon offers a lot of great free options! I think the introduction of the Nook and Kindle has really made reading a hobby people do again.

I really like reading the actual book myself. Perhaps that is just me, but there is just something that is wonderful with the actual feeling of the book in my hand. Actually going through and reading through the pages, engaging in the story as it is to say the very least. It just doesn't inspire that same feeling when I use an electronic form of reading. I think that I might be a dying breed of people who enjoy that kind of reading. At least just for pleasure, I really enjoy having the actual book in my hands. However, the fact is that when I actually am looking up things for a reference point for research, then reading on an electronic device, that is rather good. Since I am not looking through in a linear fashion, I am really trying to get through a lot of the book quickly and looking things up to say the very least. So mostly printed word but its really going to depend on the situation.

Reading for me is like brain candy! I know it sound funny, but when you are stressed out or need a break reading to me is the best medicine. I just open up the book and get lost in it. Lately I have been having a problem getting into books due to my situation and I think depression, but If I can just get into one I know I would be better. I used to get soooo excited about the next installment of a series and would race home and read it. My parents used to have to ground me from reading as I grew up. I hated it! But it worked very well. I did not watch tv all that much at the time; I know weird for a teen huh? I don' know about the kindle or any of the other readers like that but my eyes bother me with the tv and computor; would it be the same with them?

I am glad you have picked up reading. Reading is knowledge and knowledge is power, as they say. I love to read but I choose books. I am afraid my eyes would hurt trying to read from an e- reader. Does that ever happen to you? I am intrigued by these gizmos and would not turn one down if it was given to me.
