Bert and Ernie getting marrie?

Did you hear there's a petition going around that parents want bert and ernie from sesame street to have a gay marriage. I always thought they were brothers. They said it would be good for kids to understand difference and to accept it. I really don't see anything wrong with it. I think it's natural for same gender people to get married. But I know A LOT of people will disagree. Do you agree or disagree?

As far as them getting married in and of itself the concept and children knowing it is OK is fine with me. On that same note though, they are freaking puppets. Inanimate objects don't get married regardless of what they are trying to do. Now if they were going to have two of the human male cast members fall in love and get married, to me that would make more sense.
