I love this song and basket case :) i think sometime you have to forget the meanings/lyrics behind the song if you like the music or what they are trying to get across if you like it go with it

well, Let talking about my feeling about this song. I come from china, you know we have a national day in Oct 1st at every year. So for everybody from china it means holiday, we got 7 days vacation. Many worker wants to sleep late, so they always wished please wake me up when september end,then we have a 7 days vacation.

thank for comment about the meaning of wake me up when september ends. By the way, The national holiday 7 days is the longest national holiday that i know, friends. It causes them to want wake up until september ends.

I really love this song. But honestly, I don't really get the meaning of the song. The feeling that I get when I hear this song is very powerful and emotional. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear this song is the 9/11 attack to the US.
