Should we listen and follow what famous people says?

When famous people such as actors, athletes, and rocks stars give their opinions, many people listen. DO you think we should pay attention to these opinions?
Well, every one is entitled to have an opinion. When it comes to opinions, though there is a difference between majority of people and celebrities like actors, athletes and rocks stars. If you have an average person, only your family and friends care about your opinion. If your famous the whole world listens, or so it seems sometimes, Is this the way it should be? I don't think so.
In my opinion, we should not pay attention to famous people's opinions just because of who they are. Being a famous basketball player does not make someone an expert on environmental issues. However that basketball player has a better opportunity to be heard and most people do.

It really depends on what really these famous people says. But for me it is important also to know their opinions because their on top and they experienced some things that the ordinary people do not. The one things I see in these people is that they have a good charisma to the people that made them to follow.

I think we should listen to famous people, when it comes to doing their craft and how they reach their high status in life.
For other matters that is not their line of craft, i think we have to discern what they are saying, because they might not be saying the best things to do about it.
It's still us who can decide if we believe them or not. After all, they are only humans like us.

You seems to be right in this case. If they talk about how they reached or what made them what they are, then it would be of great help. It would be interesting and informative. Yea after all we can decide ourselves weather or not to listen to them according to who they are and what they are talking about.

I don't tend to listen to what famous people have to say. Usually it doesn't make a bit of sense and its their opinion. I have my own opinion concerning things and just because they are famous they are no different then anyone else to me.

It depends on who is saying.All famous people are not people with great moral character.To take someone as an idol is not wrong. In fact it motivates us to do better things in life.Also it is suggested that we idolize someone closely related to our interests in life or profession.

Yea you are quite right. If the famous sport person talks about how to perform good in sports then we must pay attention.
People who are rich put their money behind a cause. In the same way, famous people are using their most valuable asset. In their case, it not money though. It is their name recognition.

Suppose Sania Mirza say we should save environment. Then people would attract to the words of her because she is a famous Tennis player. Suppose you say don't waste the water. Can any one listen your words simply they neglect your words. This is the difference.

We should not listen and follow what famous people says. My friend is a famous engineer. He is respected by all people in my area and he is very very famous and that does not mean that i should follow his advice on what medicine should I take for fever. A player may be well versed in his games but he will be totally ignorant on all other matters like medicne , engineering, astrology, astronomy, and religious matters

I think that it would depend upon what the famous person is saying. There are a lot of people who are giving messages to the public that are very positive, and we should be proud to look up to these people and certainly do what they say. However, there are many other famous people in the world who are telling us things which aren't so good. In my opinion, they shouldn't be in the public eye if they're doing things like that. I am of the opinion that it is the media who are in the wrong rather than the person themselves, as it is the media who chooses to promote the message that the celebrity is giving to them.

the celebrity must have something different with average people that's why they are famous,however, i couldn't agree with your opinion more, they can give their opinion or value experience to where they do well in it. if not, just forget it .
