I love watching Korean telenovelas. They are very much like our culture, mostly Catholics and are conservative. Although they have divorce in Korea, but they still have close family ties like Filipinos. Parents, aunts, uncle and grandparents live in just one household. I also like Koreans actors , singers coming here. In Fact I do miss He is Sandara Parks. Now there a new Korean actors here in the Philippines Ryan Bang. He is so funny. I watch him always at Banana split, then in Showtime. Can’t understand a word he’s saying and people keeps on laughing.

I also love watching Korean telenovelas because of the unique plots and how they show how they keep their values/cultures intact. And yes, they have a great set of actors and even singers. I love watching stuff about South Korea itself, which made me very much fascinated now with the whole country itself. And Ryan Bang, I do not have time to watch him much on TV but the guy's pretty funny.

There are many Korean dramas on Philippine TV these days, not to mention the thousands of DVDs we Pinoys purchase for that fun weekend Koreanovela marathon. Radio stations play Korean music and their music videos are shown on local music channels. Several Korean Kpop artists have already held concerts in the Philippines. The Koreans are a big hit in Asia these days, not only in the Philippines but as well as Japan, Indonesia, Malaysia, and others. Heck, the Korean Wave is also now felt in European countries. Personally, I like a handful of Korean Kpop artists but I am fond of Sandara Park because of how she talks fondly of the Philippines and how she sometimes speak in Filipino while on Korean shows, proud of the land where she grew up.

The Korean culture and its entertainment industry is really addicting. They call it the Hallyu Wave and once you're swept, there's no going back. I'm a Kdrama and Kpop and Kshow addict. I love their drama, their girl bands and boy bands and their variety show. They are unique and very entertaining.
