I am having difficulty in opening, refreshing my email in yahoo at the moment. I already reached 9000++ in my one folder which is mylot. I need to wait at least a minute to be fully downloaded. I was thinking If I already reached the quota of space in Yahoo Mail. But I am also wondering why they are claiming Unlimited Space in Yahoo Mail. Have you already experience this in your Yahoo Mail?

This is true, you have to get rid of your emails every once in a while because Yahoo doesn't really have that much space to hold all of your emails. I actually delete as many as I can if I feel that I don't need them anymore.

My boyfriend has a lot of emails one time, and some of them began to disappear because he wasn't deleting the old ones or going through them to see which ones were important and which ones were spam. You have to be very careful about that.

It's not actually unlimited, from what I know, it's an ever growing storage but it depends on your bay - it's a server where your e-mail is located. Hotmail and Gmail actually offers this as well. Most of the notifications from MyLot is just small in size so I doubt it's going to affect your storage but I would suggest deleting some of the messages for better synchronization.

NO, not for me.. haha =D I will never allow my inbox to accumlate that much of mail in the first place. I'm clearing my inbox on a monthly basis, and also those unimportant mails, i will delete upon reading them.. haha =D Having too much mails in the inbox only turns me off, make me frustrated, so it's best to have a clean record.. lol NO matter how much space yahoo mail has, it's bound to slow down when u have too much mails in it.. haha

i have my yahoo mail set to display 50 messages per page, so i don't have to wait a longer time before thousands of them get displayed. i also filtered incoming messages utilizing different folders. even with mylot notifications, i have separate filter settings for new discussions started by my friends, comments, responses, etc. personal others not included in my filters goes to the main inbox folder.

I think that the main problem is with your browser, not with Yahoo. I have had more emails in my folder, but I have rarely have had problems with it. But this is only a guess, maybe Yahoo has some problems.

I have had yahoo for around 20 years and I keep many folders with lots of stuff in them. I do delete all mail and items not needed such as the sent emails and spam and trash. I may let them get a number of them in there but I delete them often. I keep my folders closed unless I am using one to see something. I have not ever had a problem with no space or with a loading slow down. I will suggest that you contact yahoo if you wish to find out more about your problem and I'm sure they can help you. Good luck.

I used to be in various health, nature wallpapers, regional news groups. So many times I cant read all the mails daily. So it will get fully occupied in Yahoo. And all of the mails will get bouncing. I'll also be happy if Yahoo Mail provides Unlimited space :(

I really dislike yahoo so much.maybe you should compact your folder then it would load faster.

I have a Gmail account where I’ve created a My Lot folder which has over 1400 emails in it. I have several folders as I use this account for many different things. As far as I know the space there is unlimited. I do also have a Yahoo account and I am having some trouble with it at the moment; I admit it is not my favourite email account. Aside from my personal Microsoft Outlook account Gmail is the one for me!

I do not really know much about yahoo as I had only one mail account a very long time ago which I have hardly ever used. But having 9000+ mylot mails...!!! I think it is time you deleted a few of them.

There are many factors that can cause a slow down of this type. One, is because you never delete your e-mail. If you keep letting messages pile in there it's going to put a strain on Yahoo's servers. This will force it to run slowly, and cause a lot of the problems you're having. It doesn't mean you've reached a limit, it just means that the amount of mail is putting a strain on the memory. Depending on how much mail you receive, that can take a little or lot. Each e-mail is a certain size, and over time the size grows to a point it effects overall performance of the server. Mind you, you have other elements running in the background. Such as their web messanger and other adds and apps (unless you purchuse Yahoo plus and get rid of the adds) all of this adds up. It is often unseen. And, until the user reports a problem... then they may never know. I mean you've got a lot of e-mail just sitting there collecting. To prevent this clean out your inbox. Keeping your inbox clean will reduce the issues you're having unless it's computer related. If you have simular problems with other sites... then your connection may be running slow, or your computer needs a fresh whipe of the drive. So check everything. But, from the sound of it, you need to clean out that box.

I open my mail daily and delete, as to the mail from mylot, I have friends that post a lot of discussions, so check all and delete and just go directly to mylot and check discussions my friends started and pick out what I want to answer.
