Some pack it real big. While some others manage it wisely. Amount of cloth you carry during your trip is crucial. It can decide success or failure of your trip. Have you thoguh about it? How many clothes you carry to a weeklong holiday

I also pretty much always take too many clothes and outfits when I go out of town. That way I have for sure at least 2-3 outfits per day. But it's kind of necessary if you ask me. You need a casual outfit, a work out outfit, a touring outfit, and a formal evening outfit. I guess it depends on what you're doing. Are you driving, are you flying? If you're flying, you're going to want to really condense down what you have so you don't have to pay extra fees for all that baggage you'll be lugging' around. I personally live in jeans and hoodies, so if it's cool enough yet and it's not anywhere *formal* or too hot that you're going, you could pack one or two for each day. IDK. Good luck to you!

I always end up carrying two or three pairs of extra clothes when i go on a holiday. If i would be going out everyday i would need a new pair for each day. In any case it becomes a bit more than needed. There is always that 'just in case' needed.

I travel with my 4 year old disabled son and 2 year old daughter. For a weeks holiday I take 2 bras, 7 pairs of knickers, 2 t-shirts, 1 pair of shorts, 2 pairs of trousers and 4 pairs of socks. I also take 1 nightdress and wear a pair of shoes for my journey. I take a washing liquid for my clothes and a travel like washing line. It was awful arriving in Colombia and just having our hand luggage in Bogota. Even worse once we got the coast our luggage wasn't there. Luckily the airport man managed to use his computer to track where our luggage was. It was on its way from Madrid to Bogota. I am pleased that the airport man brought us our luggage 24 hours later to our hotel. However three items were missing. I had been getting short of my son's catheters. That experience makes me re-consider what should be in my hand luggage on the plane. I think I would include a change of clothes and all my son's catheters.

Every time I take a trip, I vow not to overpack and I still always do. The key is to take pieces that you can mix and match with each other. You shouldn't need more that 1 pair of slacks, 1 skirt, two pairs of shorts, a bathing suit and tops, vests and blazers to dress up or dress down. I only wish that I could heed my own advice.

I make it sure that every time I have a week long trip I'll just have to make my travel light. I usually count how many days will I stay on a specific place. For a week long I'll consider it 8 days and will bring a long mostly shirts. I need not bring a lot of under garments since you can wear pants or shorts twice or thrice. Then as much as possible I'll just bring one shoes, the one I am wearing during the trip and pack my slippers. That's it.

When i pack for a week long trip, i take into consideration if we will have a time for business, socializing and outing. That way, i can gauge what are the clothes that i have to bring in each occasion.

I always take too many clothes when I go away. I always plan to have a differnt top to wear everyday during the day with a few pairs of trousers and then have about four different outfits for the evening that will do smart or casual and can be mixed and matched. What then means I've taken too many clothes is that I always take extra stuff in case I spill something down me. This never happens I return home with unworn clothes that need ironing after being squeezed into my suitcase
