Did you know that the Chinese called the month of August as a Ghost month? According to them, August is a ghost month and August 14 is an evil spirits day. It is their practice during the whole month of August, not to visit a cemetery, the dead, not to attend vigils, not to go in a hospital, or any places that may cause a person ill or meet an accident. What do you think?

Is that every August or only this one, since the Chinese year changes differently to ours? August is holiday time here. Many shops and businesses close down for two weeks so it's like living in a ghost town.

Hi again Peter, thanks! Yes, it is for every month of August no matter the Chinese year changes, as long as it falls in August. Why their business establishments are closed? Its because they are observing it especially August 14, since they called it as an evil spirits day. So, you did feel now the ghost month in a ghost town. Thanks again...
