Do you feel your life is passing you by?

To me it is absolutely amazing how fast time goes by. I think that it wasn't long when I was just a teenager. I'm not that old but I feel like I'm getting older. I would really encourage those who are younger to focus on what they want to accomplish. If they want to go to college to do that and get it out of the way. Time goes by so fast. I when I was younger it seemed like I had all the time in the world. That I wanted to focus on fun things. Now that I'm older I see how important it is for young ones to prioritize things. So that when they are older they hopefully have more time to enjoy life and relax.

The saying goes 'time waits for nobody'. If we turn back and see what had happened all the years that passed by, it would appear like a big novel. We would have met so many characters, made tough decisions, wrong ones too and some good moves too.

That saying is absolutelt true. Time doesn't wait for anyone. So it's impotant that we use it wisely. Thanks so much for your response.

I had made a lot of plans for the future, but i am unable to do what i wanted due to my health.I wanted to work with the elderly and bring home a good wage by putting a lot of hours in, so that we would be able to pay the mortgage off earlier, so that we had a lot more money now rather than having to wait.I do feel like life is passing me by, but that is the way my life is now, so i have to come to terms with it.

Tht would be difficult to deal with. Our mind, and enthusiam for the things we want to get done are there, but our physical health can deffinitely limit us. There are many things in life we perhaps would like to do but have to look at things from a different perspective. My life has recently changed in a big way and now I have to decide which direction in my life I want to go and pursue. It is a difficult thing at times.

That is so true. I've always thought that time seems to drag when you're younger because you can hardly wait for some event or another to happen. You can't wait until school starts. You can't wait until school lets out. You can't wait until you get into high school. You can't wait to get your driver's license. You can't wait to graduate from high school. You can't wait to go to college and then you can't wait to graduate. You can't wait until you turn 21. Once those milestones occur there aren't that many more milestones that you can't wait to happen. A number of years ago, I assumed that I would live until I was 80 and calculated the number of days that I had left to live. Watching those days dwindle really keeps me present in the moment and focused on the things that I want to accomplish in my life. If I live past 80? BONUS!!!

I agree with you when we were young there were so many things we couldn't wait to happen. Now i reflect on how important it is to enjoy the journey otherwise i will have spent all my time going from one thing to another. I want to enjoy living. I'm happy that you are living in the present and enjoying your life.

I can see that in a way. Life tends to go rather quickly a lot of the time. It really does seem just like yesterday I was enjoying my childhood. Then when I was a teenager, then starting college, but now I'm about to finish and the finishing part is really going to seem just like yesterday before I know it. There are a lot of times where life really does spiral forward, into some level of insanity. I feel like that I was once with it, but now I feel like the world has changed in such a short time. I don't really feel as if that I am in tune with the youth of today and I'm not that old. It does seem like time is not on our side and even the most careful time management, we can really find ourselves thrown off balance. Life is really speeding up, time goes faster as we get older. It waits for no one.

I understand being young and not really the same as other youths. I feel the same way. I'm not a partier, i don't stay out late, and do other things that most people my age do. But the things that I do, I enjoy and hope to continually be able to do and work hard to help others.

I can see that time passes quickly and at my early stage of adulthood, there are so many things that i want to achieve but its not possible at this time. As for the moment i just enjoy what i have right now and plan for the things in the future.

That is a good thing that you have thought about. To enjoy your life and plan for things as time goes. There are I agree a lot of options that we have when it comes to what we want to do with our life. I hope that you are able to have a career that you enjoy and that you can accomplish what you would like in your life.

yeah, the life is short and time is swift. So we should try to make everyday meaningful. When we come across difficulties, try to solve it and just tell yourself that everything will be OK because everything will fade from your memory as time goes by.

Yes life can be very short. I want to make sure that I have lived my life and enjoyed it. There are things that I want to do so I've got to keep a balance, enjoy the time that I have now, and plan for the future.

I really wish I have followed the advise of my elders when I was younger. It could have saved me a lot of trouble, so much that I have been through. It would be easy to tell the young people of today of the right things to think and do but making them actually believe it and follow it is something else. I guess most of us go through this phase, where we all are carefree and just living the day. This just makes me wish that I could go back to my past and tell my young self to do the right things and make the right choices.

I agree when we are young others try and give us advice so that we can avoid a lot. But sometimes we are in the mind set that what we are doing is right for us. I'm glad that for the most part i listened to what others told me.

That is a good thing. Most of us take a long time before we are able to see the benefit of such advice. It is always for our best interest. And it is a great thing when we have our priorities straight.

Yes, I definitely agree with you. In one way, it is really a shame that people don't realize that when they are still young (I certainly did not realize that), but I guess that's the irony of life. This is why we should really try to make time for fun things as well and enjoy every moment we get.

I agree that it is important that we enjoy and have fun in our life. That way we will not regret how we lived our life and the things that we did. I enjoy life and hope that I continue to have the right perspective. Thanks for sharing your response.

You said it, Dominque. I feel the same way . Most of people didn't cherish what they own until they lose it . And time may be the most precious because you can never have it back once losing i t. I have seen a lot of people lament for their flirting with life . They are the best lessons for us. We can't never following their suit .

It is a sad thing that we have to loss things/or relationships in order for us to know how good we've got it. It is good for us to have our priorities straight and know what is important to us. This way we can have joy in our life.
