Do you believe that God's promises are trustworthy? Why?

I strongly believe that God's promises are trustworthy. Throughout the Bible their are different prophecies that have been fullfilled that give me confidence in his promises. I've also personally experienced his help in my life when I've went through really hard times. We as humans make mistakes and sometimes don't keep our promises but he always does and always will. We can trust in him 100%. That is encouraging because we can't trust in any human beings that way.

I don't believe in any higher being and so I don't think that there are any promises to be trustworthy about. But if one does believe in God and believes that he will protect those who follow him, then how could that person also say that they can't trust in any human beings? Wouldn't he lead you safely on your path?

Protects his servants spiritually? What exactly does this mean? Does he only protect his servants? If so, why noone else? Should he punish an adult who was indoctrinated with the wrong religion as a child?

I personally feel that God protects his servants spiritually. I don't feel that God intervenes in our behalf physically to protect us. We live in a world were people do horrible things and God hasn't stepped in to change that just yet. I believe he does however through his word the Bible provide us with guidance and direction that will help us to use soundness of mind to protect ourselves.

This refers to our relationship with him. Keeping a good standing. He helps others by helping them to find truths about him and to develop a personal relationship with him. He trys to help ones who were perhaps indoctrinated with the wrong religion through others.

I don't practice any religion, but I do believe in god. I never read the bible so I don;t know what it says. I only know that he forgives and is a loving god and he always provides what I need, not what I want.

Amen to that, and you are right. There are people who have nothing, there are people who are dying of hunger, ther are people who have no roof over there head. So I am blessed and I have what I need and I will forever be grateful.

I agree with you that he provides us with the things that we need. Sometimes that can frustrate people because they feel he should provide what they want. As long as we have the necessities of life we should be thankful. There are many people who don't have that. When we have the things that we absolutely need we are doing well.

If you believe in God (any religion), don't question for His words and promises just believe in him, is trustworthy. I had question about Him once and test Him ..... and you know what, He answer my test loud and clear. I never question Him ever again.

I think a lot of the time the things we go through or see others go through can cause us to question him or his promises. God doesn't necessarily mind us asking questions because he wants us to find answers if we are being sincere. He wants us to trust in him, which is why even in the Bible when faithful servants of his questioned him he answered their questions.

Believe and trust HIS words without having personal experienced with HIM, for me it's just like walking without any clue/direction where we want to go. Every words on Holy book will be questioned.

i am an atheist. i dont believe people need a higher power to control them and drive them. everyone can be a nice person if they try. belief does not count. some people seem to need it though to get through the day...
