I need a new digital camera that I can take sharp close-ups as possible. I would like to use this camera mainly to make artistic pictures, closeups of plants, miniature figures or similar. Which digital camera would be as suit them best?

A digital camera with a macro focus setting actually fulfilled all the requirements for sharp close-ups! But I could imagine it in this price range are also some extra settings for sharp close-ups. My digital camera is a very simple and handy user-friendly Sanyo 6.0 Megapixel 3x Optical Zoom S6 and makes very nice pictures even in close-range.

In the price range there are very good. Important is the optical zoom. The bigger the better. With digital zoom later image enlargements are grainy. And very important is a macro setting. With this particular setting, it is possible very good close-ups of flowers and leaves to make. Oh yes, a high number of pixels for a long does not mean a good camera.

I would say go with a Canon or Nikon DSLR. As important as the camera is the lens that your use. If you are doing this as a business buy the company lens for closeup or macro photography. It will be more expensive but will be the best fit.

if you can afford it I guess any of the Canon EOS 5xx series will do the job :-)
