how to open a bank account in the usa for a non resident ? i'm from egypt !!

hi , i'm egyptian living in cairo egypt , i got an amount of cash on paypal.com and can't get them since it doesn't support my country ,,i getting a bank account their and a credit card ..so i can transfer money easily ... any advice ??? i really need this

You have to go to the US to open a bank account. I was able to open one when I was there for a visit. All they asked from me is my passport and the account was opened.

really , did you try to open any account when you were outisde the usa .. everybody keeps on telling me that it is possible ,, recommending hsbc bank !! but i didn't go yet to ask about that !!!

no, not yet....but I heard in my country, there is a Bank of America office, I don't know what are their products and services....try to check the web but hsbc is not a US bank I don't remember seeing an hsbc in the US....log in to their website, it might help
