Do you remember your Diablo 1 days?

The first time I played Diablo 1, I got so engrossed in it that I wasn't able to sleep well because I got too excited of playing it again the next day. I've always been a Rogue type character in the game because of the unlimited arrows. And the hardest part in the game was defeating the Level 2 Butcher. At first, it almost took me 30 minutes to kill the damn thing and I was so happy I defeated it. As long as rogues don't get mobbed, and you've got a trusty knock back bow, all is well. During the hell levels, I got obsessed of finding items with the "of the heavens" suffixes in them just to make my char powerful. There weren't trainers that time and cheats weren't as searchable as they are now so it became countless hours of killing and repeating the game. Why don't you share some of your Diablo 1 memories.

I ain't really into role playing games like Diablo but my brother, who just came home for a month-long vacation, have somehow persuaded me and my other brother to play it. What a great game! I remember going to bed at dawn on weekends and me and my brothers still talks about how our game went and what would be our next strategy and so on and so forth! It was really addictive. I'm glad I played. Not only because I discovered I could enjoy these kinds of game but it was a great bonding moment with my siblings. My brother is back in the US now so I definitely miss those moments while he was here.

Hi Muzic. Nice avatar by the way. Yes, Diablo 1 was addictive especially when played with someone else. Me and my 10 year old niece used to play it together with my boyfriend. We played it with the Hellfire expansion and it was fun due to the game's simplicity.

When i played diablo 1,i was studying in junior high school. At that time,i don't know much about English as a Asian.I spent a lot of time to look up the dictionary in order to find out what exactly the task they ask me to do is.Even though i know what the task means,i still couldn't complete some difficult tasks cause i am bad at playing computer games. But i still have to say ,this is a great game, really.

I think that's awesome. Diablo 1 one has done good for you. I'm actually waiting for Diablo 3 now. But it's taking forever to come out.

It seems to me that we had the same experience. Diablo 1 really reminds me of Butcher. That one haunted me even to my dream in those time. I wish games now were that fun, no guides and editors to go all through it. Makes it more exciting and fun.

You've had bad dreams of the Butcher too! HAHAHA. Same here. It scared me like hell because he could open doors. The good old days were awesome. I enjoyed that extra energy only young people have to stay up late whenever they just wanted to. Nowadays, I prefer sleeping early.

Honestly, it's the only game I sometimes crave to play again.I liked the barbarian ( maybe because I'm little, I'm trying to compensate), and I loved the gems, making bigger jems and socketing my items.Even now, when I start playing, I play every day for as long as I can. I loved it.

I remembered it when it was sorta like a horror game... and the gold bug where you can dupe your gold unlimited times XD... There was a time that I've use my repair skill rather than letting griswold do it for me, At the time I killed the butcher he drops his weapon and I have equipped it not knowing that the maximum durability of that weapon was so low... As I have said earlier that I dont want to waste my time with griswold repairing my goodies well you need to use town portal just to make the repairs and you can always do it on your own not to mention there's no run mode in the game but the consequence for repairing it yourself is that the maximum durability of what you repair gets lowered by 1 or more im not sure... But if you let griswold do it for ya the maximum durability gets more higher for a price that is... anyhows with the butcher's weapon which has already low maximum durability and me repairing it guess I have to make another character for that XD... I havent played the nightmare difficulty... It was sorta not my game yet so I didnt continue playing after the normal game...

I learned of Diablo 1 quite late - 2001. I was given a CD of Diablo by an officemate as a gift. At that time, I was never really interested in computer games but he insisted that I try it at home. So after arriving home, i installed it on my PC. Man I was hooked! Killing Demons finding and equipping items. I had so many sleepless nights with that game, its so addicting. Until now Diablo 1 is still installed on my PC and play it occasionally. Diablo 1 sparked my interest on computer games.
