Has anyone tried the new shoes with toes?

I have been seeing a new type of shoe advertised. It is a sneaker that has individual toes! Have you or anyone you know tried wearing this style? What was their experience? I would like feedback from someone before trying a pair! They don't look very nice, but I bet they are comfortable!

I have a pair. Have had them for about a year and half. They were originally meant for barefoot running, but they work as regular shoes. I was introduced to them by a friend of my husbands who has been wearing hem for about 5 years. Much more comfortable than sneakers or other shoes. Better for your joints and they help strengthen your feet. The only 2 issues that I am aware f is the pairs with the super thin soles (primarily the original vibrams) have thinnerssoles than the other styles (3cm vs 3.5 to 5 cm) so on days where the temps hit 106 and you walk on black top, you feel the heat. The other issue is people who have flat feet or high arches not being comfortable and having enough support, Vibram has come out with a few shoes that resolve that issue.

Thank you for the information. I would have never thought about the hot pavement! I'm fairly sure that at some point I am going to have to try these shoes!

When I say hot pavement, I mean days that are over 100 lol If you ant to try them, find a place that sells them to find out what size you need (they are in European sizes and fit snug) and buy them online.

Good to be back. I do not get much free time with my new job, traveling to see children who live away, and helping Mom. I think of you often too. Wondered if MyLot was still around and thriving. I keep seeing the shoes on sidebars of web pages. They look strange, but I imagine them as comfortable. They are a shoe that looks like the toe-socks of the '70s! (Not that you or I would remember those days..! Ha!)

Open sandals - More comfortable footwear
I've seen those type of shoes in the market and I thought they look ridiculous. I don't think I'd ever try wearing one like this. I'm afraid I'd look like a frog should I do. I am more comfortable in wearing open sandals that expose my toes than wearing sneakers that covers my toes individually. What is the use of having my toes beautifully polished if I'd cover them?

I just looked them up. They are hideous! IMHO I have a pair of toe socks but I find them really uncomfortable to wear. I don't like the feeling of them on my feet, so I'm guessing I'd feel the same way about these sneakers.
