Eucalyptus is a traditional aboriginal powerful antiseptic remedy for coughs, colds and sore throats. Eaucaliptol , one of the ingredients found in the essential oil, is the chief ingredient in the scores of commercial formulas of chest rubs for colds.
Eaucalyptus is mainly found in the continent if Australia.

Interesting...I have always known of many uses of eucalyptus and even grew it in my yard in Florida. I did not know that it was prolific in Australia. I thought it was grown more in the Orient.
