In reading the Bible I love the Book of Ruth. It is a beautiful love story. It also explains how God provide and take care of His people, His belivers and His followers. Chapters one and two leads up to the time when Ruth meet Boaz. First the story is about Ruth & Naomi. Then Boaz come into the story. Boaz, was a man of his word, sensitive to those in need, caring for his workers.
A lesson from Boaz's life is that you can be heroic to do what must be done and to do it right.
Are you familiar with the Book of Ruth: If so Why did Boaz tell Ruth where to glean, and what advantages did this give Ruth?
Another question How did Ruth express gratitude to Boaz for what he was doing for her?
Have you ever made the statement: I am waiting on my Boaz?

I also love the book of Ruth. Read it many times.

Well it kept her and Naomi fed for one. It also provided her with his protection.
Another question How did Ruth express gratitude to Boaz for what he was doing for her?
Well she asked him to marry her (basically), and I'm not sure what else she could have done in her position, being a poor foreigner. But he accepted. (yay!)
Have you ever made the statement: I am waiting on my Boaz?
More times than I can count.

Ah yes, I guess that protection was the main reason he showed her where to glean..It has been a while since I read this book, I think I will read it next..

HI Anti, if you aren't that familiar with the Bible, try reading it in a different version, for an example try the Living Bible or the New Century Version and then you can back it up with the King James Version. I hope you will enjoy it enough to read more and get familiar with the Word Of God. Be blessed my friend.

I love the book of Ruth, it is a very romantic story that I feel depicts Jesus and His bride. Just like Boaz offered to help Ruth and then marry her, Jesus has offered His help to us and wants us to be His bride...
I think the advantages of where Boaz told Ruth to glean is that is where she would find the most and/or best of the grain.
As for how Ruth expressed her gratitude, some might take this wrong, but I think when she offered herself as a bride, is how she showed how grateful she was.
Now, the expression, "I am waiting on my Boaz" that is good, and no I never made that statement, but I have made a statement that I am looking for a man that is after the heart of G♥d... (Yeah, I like David's story as well..

There's a bit of sexuality in Ruth that not a lot of scholars explain. However, I would like to point out that Ruth was rather aggressive. By today's standards, sleeping at the feet of a man you hardly know is questionable behavior. Not that the Bible decrees this.
Boaz and Ruth were related by marriage (I think they were in-laws through Naomi; something like that). The fact that he would care for family is a trait that women across the ages would love to see in a man.
Ruth can be seen as a story about honor. She honored her mother in law by never leaving her side when she really didn't have to stay with her. Boaz was honorable to allow her, a widow and one of the least in society, to glean in his field.

Really love that book. I also wrote an article how I interpret the book in our daily life.
This short book really told us how we should live in this world once we found God. Never look back to our sinful past, obey God, work for God and in the end be rewarded by being one with God.
Have you heard in the Revelation how it told that in the end of the world The Lamb will take his Bride. And so in the book of Ruth how Boaz will take Ruth as his wife in the end.
So will be in our Christian life. We will see the wedding fest of the lamb and his bride when the time has come in the end of the world.

The story of Ruth in the Bible pictures what Jesus did on Calvary where He redeemed us from the bondage of Sin just like Boaz did to Ruth.

This sounds like it's for a Bible study!
Yes, I've read the book of Ruth. It's a great book. My Aunt Ruth was named for this book of the Bible. I have not used the phrase I'm waiting on my Boaz, but now you've given me something great to throw in a conversation now and then.
