When you create a discussion do people usually leave lazy answers?

Personally and to date I have not left "lazy answers". I want to continue my quality participation here for a very long time and live up to the person that I am. If I do not feel I can leave a helpful and useful response, usually I will not enter such discussions and prefer to skip it. Yes I have received a couple of non-related and or uncaring responses to my discussions. This in no way deters me from commenting my usual way and with quality. I have not had to skip anyone yet but if something was so irritating where I am going to be taken out of character I would prefer to skip the response.

It hasn't happened too much to me. More often, I get no responses at all.

I get a few thoughtless answers to my discussions also - that don't even begin to RESPOND to the question (or even try!) that I originally posted. I typically either respond or ignore them (depending on my mood lol). I've asked advice in discussions and I've gotten some really really lame answers. I can't even think of an example right now but I know I've seen them! I appreciate when people put thought into what they're saying to me (and to everyone else!) because a lot of us don't just do this to add to the number of posts we have, but to actually get answers and discuss things. Agh. Oh well. I guess the best thing to do would be to ignore it and move on.
